My first saber with sound came in the mail this morning! I had not seen the Reborn with a weathered finish before so I was a bit nervous to see it. Turns out Its pretty freakin sweet! I was unable to decide on a color so I decided to get the Hero Tier. My AV switches are red and purple. Any questions feel free to ask.

Enjoy

The blade plug is awesome!

Turns out the custom screws are removable, I would like to color them but am not sure what type of paint to use. If anyone knows what I could use that would stick best to metal please let me know.

And just for the hell of it here is my Gladius with the Reborn's blade plug.

That's an awesome saber yout got there mate! This ''unique'' blade plug is gorgeous! Like I said before, that saber disapointed me a bit! This is a question of personal taste! However, I'm able to admit that it is a masterpiece!

How comfortable is the grip and is it easy to spin and such with the ridges? My primary concern with the saber model is that right there.

I am actually in love with the grip, it is much more comfortable that I thought it would be. The ridges actually sit well in my hand. It is not easy to spin from the wider part of the hilt but from the concave part it spins like a dream.

Looks awesome. I really do like the lines on the Reborn and wish that I could come up with the money for one myself.

As far as painting, the devil is in the details. It's all about your prep work. Depending on what you're going for I'd look into model paints or even automotive spray paints. Like I said, and this can't be stressed enough, it's all about your prep work. Make sure it's clean (I'd use acetone or similar solvent but is safe for all parts involved), use a quality primer, and make several light coats of paint while letting it cure properly in between coats.

It looks outstanding. Are the single colors all that bright on the RGBA hero tier?
