TCCS has been out of stock of their LED heatsink modules for a while. I found the following online but I'm not sure if it will work in a 1" ID hilt as its dia is listed as 1". I ordered one so I'll find out in a week or so.

Does anyone know another place to get a heatsink?

It's probably been more than a week, how'd it go?

Ah, I wouldn't recommend the Advanced module, since there's no threading between the inner heatsink and the outer shell - you're supposed to epoxy the two parts together after you assemble your LED.

The Dynamic heatsink, however, screws together and works fine in 1" hilts:

The one-up design should work for single Crees/Rebels, but the channel might not fit all the wires for center-mount mult-die LEDs.

I've used the 3-up heatsinks before for Tri Crees. I've managed to squeeze (x4) 28-gauge wires through that center hole. Enough for a common positive and three negatives.

A note that the insert extends a fair amount past the rear of the heatsink, since these modules are meant to screw into another piece. The extra can be dremelled/sawed off, but the aluminum's hard and thick, so it's a lot of time and effort. I'd recommend a TCSS or Solo's Hold heatsink if space is a concern in your hilt. Saberforge sinks also work just fine, but they're currently not available separately.

I got the sink and while it did the job, Kouri is 100% correct in his statements. This was my first saber build and b/c you can only fit 4 wires through the center hole, I had to bridge all the LED anodes. That was challenging given my poor soldering skills.

TCCS was finally in stock and I used their sink for my 2nd saber build. Much easier/better to use. Took less space and wire management was a breeze. No need to bridge the pads on the tri-cree.
