I'm going to purchase an empty Monarch hilt. This will be my first crystal chamber build (my 4th build overall) so I have some pretty basic questions which are all kinda related:

- How is the crystal illuminated (via the main LED or an accent LED)?

- If accent LED illuminates the crystal, how does SF get the crystal to match the blade color in their Hero tier? I'm not aware of RGB accent LEDs.

- Where are the LED(s) located in the hilt?

- Are there any other special wiring considerations I should know about?

I don't know where the LEDs are, nor how they wore it, as I don't have a Monarch and wouldn't take it apart had I one, but I've gathered that accent LEDs are used for the crystal chamber, and if there aren't RGB accent LEDs, I don't see why they couldn't use three accent LEDs, one each of Red, Green, and Blue.

RGB accent LEDs do exsist and that' what are used for this effect. The Naigon Electronic Creation"NEC" boards have a location to wire the accents, and handle the color change via the boards software.

The RGB 5mm also come in Common Anode and Common Cathode varieties. You'd need to see which is compatible with your soundboard.

Also watch out for 3mm RGB LEDs - the ones I've seen so far aren't color selectable, but rather just rotate through colors automatically.

Thanks guys. I figured out my confusion: I was reading the Spark 2 manual instead of the Spark Color 2.

So for anyone having a similar question: page 12 of the Spark Color 2 shows the wiring diagram and I found a common anode accent LED with a little Google searching but not sure if I'm allowed to post a link to didn't.
