Ottomatix,
Thank you for the advice! I sent another question to SFCS asking about champion tier hilt with warrior electronics. I guess we'll see. Hopefully, I'll get an answer before the sale ends.

RichellM that reply from India is confusing. All of the hilts come with 2 predrilled holes,ALL OF THEM. A Warrior hilt, as Kouri described, will have one fitted with a latching switch to activate the soundless warrior tier saber. The other empty hole will be covered with a faux switch plug that can be removed a a later date to install a recharge port, but the existing latching switch will have to be upgraded to a momentary if you ad a sound card. In case of Hero tier then a third hole has to be drilled, so I have no idea why India replied that way .

Nope... Just got an empty reliant yesterday and it has one hole drilled in it which potentially might screw up my commission I've been planning for months...

I'm assuming your Reliant was a Warrior Tier? Commission?

EDIT: My bad, you said, "empty" meaning Initiate tier...

Hmmm wonder what the deal is. Burns 3558 thanks for correcting my assumption.
From beneath the black cloak of the empire, comes the Reliant. This weapon is an instrument of sublime destruction, suited for the hands of a worthy master.

The hilt is machined by a professional blade smith, with tireless care given to every detail of it's construction. This saber is a work of art.

This saber features an S curve style shroud, a comfortable and ergnomic wrapped grip, and a skull crusher mace style pommel.

If you would like the control box deleted for a more comfortable grip, just request that in the order comments box durring checkout.

Initiate level sabers include a blade plug, covertech knob, and 12mm faux switches.

Initiate level sabers DO NOT include a blade or electronics.

Initiate sabers are for display, as a costume accessory, or for DIY saber builders.
"faux switches."

I'll email them if the build I was going to commission isn't doable anymore. Yeah I was surprised when I got it... Not in a good way.

I think people def need to specify how many holes are drilled in the hilts moving forward on initiate tier.

I have an empty Archon it came with 2. The advertisement for the Initiate Reliant mentioned switches (plural) I would expect 2 holes then. I'm baffled by this omission.

1st time around it takes much longer to charge than usual. Now it should take 2-8 hours depending on how drained it is.

I might be able to use the hilt for the build but I will email sfcs just so I can put the response up here so everyone knows. I was also thinking maybe my hilt is a mistake?

Been emailing cs... Yes you need to specify - one switch hole or two.

They are exchanging my hilt....

What did SFCS actually say and what was your question? Just wondering what, specifically, needs to be stated when ordering an Initiate Tier.

Did they say something like, "...we generally do not drill the hilt...but you can put in the request, we just cannot guarantee if this will be done..."?

This is the answer I get when I asked if they could drill extra holes...

Ok so I orderd a reliant initiate for a build that I am paying someone to do and requested no glue so a crystal reveal could be made. I got an empty reliant with glue amd with one hole....

My email....

"Hi I just received my initiate hilt and there is only one switch hole? On the website it says switches and shows 2 holes. I can't build this saber without 2 switch holes. Also I asked for the hilt to be built with no glue in it so I could build a crystal reveal.

Can I swap the hilt out for one with 2 holes or return this and buy an asp reliant?

Please advise and thank you."

Sfcs response....

"Hello! I am sorry to hear this! Could you please provide us with a photo of the holes? Is the hilt glued? We show you requested no glue but do not see a request for a second switch hole or recharge port.

You can return the hilt to be swapped to one with a recharge port and unglued, however we cannot exchange it for an ASP Reliant hilt. You would need to return the hilt for a refund then purchase an ASP hilt if you wanted to do that.

May the Forge be with you!"

So to me im interpreting this as yes you do have to request 1 or 2 holes.

On a sidenote sfcs has always responded quick and taken care of whatever I needed....

Sfcs response...

"Our repair techs should be able to change your switch section to one with 2 holes drilled and unglue your threading! Please return your saber for our industry leading warranty repair service. Please visit the following link to electronically fill out our RMA form. Please include a printed copy of your RMA form with your package, for the repair we will only need your hilt returned (no blades or accessories). Please note that if your RMA form is not included with your package it may be refused upon receipt. Please ship to the address referenced on the RMA form.
It may also be helpful to them to include a printed copy of this email communication as they do not have access to your emails.
Thank you and may the Forge be with you!

Burns3558, am glad that your Switch Part is being corrected.
I've never had to complete an RMA for returns and hopefully will never have to. Reading the reply received from SFCS, to include a printed copy of both the RMA Form and email exchange, this would be contained within the sealed package right? When packages are sealed and delivered to an addressee by USPS (or other carrier) and signature on exchange at handover, you'd have to physically open the package to determine if the printed copies are included right?

How do you reject a package before signature acceptance citing non inclusion of RMA as the criteria? In the event a 'packing slip window' is used on the outside (depending on package type i.e. Box/padded bag) handling the goods before handover usually isn't entertained.

It applies to some as well, during the *I forget what it was now so insert here* Promotion where you could send in a typed Letter to be eligible for entry, how do those without access to a Printer overcome this? Is the protocol in USA different for the delivery of goods?
