Can you adjust the Clash Sensitivity on the Spark Board (Hero)? I can't find any settings for a threshold in the editor. It takes too hard of an impact to trigger the Clash.

Thanks!

If you have the spark color 1, no.
If you have the spark color 2, yes.

I don't have a spark color 2, so I can't be sure, but it should be available in the on board menu. If it's not, you can change it yourself in the master.ini file.

I'm assuming you know which version you have since you have the editor for it. But for those who aren't sure. That's an easy way to tell. If your master file has threshold files in it, it's a 2. If it doesn't, it's a 1.

I'm not sure how hard you have to hit yours but my spark color 1 doesn't take much to trigger. If you're slapping the hilt without a blade in it, it doesn't trigger very easily, but if you're actually tapping the blade against something, it doesn't take much.

Yeah, it's the Spark Color v1.0, so that explains it. The clash triggers ok with decent hits, but not with lighter ones, and especially not without the blade installed. It's kind of strange that you can adjust the blaster sensitivity/triggering, but not the clash sensitivity, but I guess that's just the way it is.

Thanks.

The reason you cannot adjust the clash sensitivity in the v1 board is because it is based off a physical sensor, and thus no adjustment is possible. With Spark Color 2 (and Igniter2) I've moved to a 6-degree of freedom sensor that can do swings and the clashes, so adjustments in the sensitivity are possible.

For Spark Color 2, you can adjust the sensitivity in the Config editor, or by accessing the "Saber Configuration" menu by holding the saber straight down and holding the aux button, then switching to motion editor. From there you can cycle through swing, slash, clash, dualX, dualYZ settings and edit them in real time while using the saber to see how the new setting affects the motion.

How do we change the Lockup config setting to hold and release instead of two presses to activate and deactivate? My current setting is:

lockupType=1

I want it to be able to be held for lockup and the lockup stop when releasing button, not having to press it again.

Also, here are my current config settings for all of my fonts. The clash is way to unresponsive and the swings trigger way too easily. Can anyone provide some setting changes for me?

I imagine the Config Editor on this page will be of some use:

I am by no means an expert. In fact I am still pretty new but... I have been dabbling with the spark color 2 settings in the hero sabers and I noticed a couple of things with your sensitivity settings:

nClsh=8
nSwng=8
nSlsh=4

These are way too low. These are thresholds and so if set too low you will "confuse" the gyro sensor.

1.) I would have your swing sensor set to the 40-50s this gives you a nice responsive swing for light gestures. Higher settings may also tune this to your swing some. It all starts with having the right swing setting.

2.) slash threshold should be higher than swing and probably by a decent margin. Usually I would not recommend lower than 80, but I have not played with this one too much.

3.) clash threshold also should be higher than swing. Your clash may be getting trumped by the swing depending on how the priority algorithm in the spark board works. I would say set this to 15-20 higher than your swing threshold.

So perhaps try: 45 for swing, 80 for slash and 60 for clash and see what happens?

I think your settings all being so low, the fact your slash is lower than swing, and the fact your clash and swing are the same is confusing you board maybe?

As an aside, as I am playing with these settings too I would love for anyone more experienced to share what settings they are using and what "behaviors" they are seeing?
