Hello, all. I have been lurking on this board anonymously for a long time and have learned a ton from everyone's collective wisdom and experience. THANK YOU!!

I recently ordered the electronics from SF for a new saber build and also ordered an extra recharge port as a replacement for an SF saber that I bought last year. I removed the old recharge port and wired in the new one the same way. Once finished, I was a bit surprised to learn that my saber now starts up only when the kill key is inserted, not when it is removed.

Has anyone seen this before? Is there something wrong? Am I becoming mentally ill? Any advice is appreciated!

It's sounds like to me you got the the negatives reversed, if you pull it back out and just change those 2 wires you should be good to go, otherwise a bad port is possible it happened to me a few times, I usually order pack of 5 or 10 recharge ports just so I have spares. See attachment for proper wiring

Thanks for the advice and wiring diagram. Confirmed that it is wired accordingly. Going with assumption that it is a bad port. Thanks again!!
