Figure it's best to ask those who may know before I wreck something ;) (or... Just do it!)

I have 2 champion hilts (Sorcerer and Consular, no quick connects) that really need the electronics swapped, solely for the purpose of having different blade colours. Is it simply a matter of loosening the grub screw holding the LED module, removing the c-clamp in the pommel end, and sliding the whole thing out?

Thanks for any advice!

edit: As soon as I posted, the switch and recharge port suddenly reared their ugly heads. This is going to be a chore :\

Is there enough wire to just slide the LED modules out the emitter, snip snip, solder solder, and pop it right back in, leaving the chip, battery, and switches in place?

Edit #2: woooooooo!

Anyone want to buy a used Consular and Sorcerer?

I kid! I've got a Consular with a blood orange blade and a purple activation button. Now to assemble the Sorcerer with a purple blade and blood orange activation button :)

So I see that the LED issue was a matter of re-wiring. I have two questions.
1) Could you have possibly used quick connects at the snip points?
2) Can the same be done to the switch and recharge wires?
I want to pony up on a Hero Tier and just be able to move "guts" to empty hilts, as easily as possible.
