Hello everyone,

I'm really new to Saberforge as a whole, I actually just received my first saber last month. I've been reading through the forums here and it seems like Saberforge has a really friendly community around it, which leads me to my question.

I ordered my Arbiter v2 with a QC module, and while trying to switch out the LED unit the wire connection on the saber side of the QC broke, as well as the wiring on the LED itself. I'd really like to get into electrical wiring and the like, but I'm not very experienced and would prefer to leave it to the professionals; however, Saberforge has not responded to my warranty email. I've heard about some community members who will help others with wiring issues, upgrades, etc., (Darth Mario comes to mind) and I was wondering if anyone could help me out with this issue, or at least point me in the direction of someone who could. I would be extremely appreciative of any help!

Here's the connection break on the saber.

And here's where the wire broke at the solder joint on the LED (I stripped some of the heat shrink tubing away to get a better look)

Thank you very much!

That's actually not a very hard fix. I think if you know anyone with quick access to a soldiering iron, some spare solder and a wire stripper (you might not need the stripper, since there is still some exposed wire on both ends of the break) they can probably fix it in less than 5 minutes. That way you can get your saber up and running quickly without worrying about more shipping!

Of course, you should wait until you hear back from SF. If there's still a warranty on the saber doing anything in there with a soldering iron (maybe even cutting the heat shrink like you did) would void that very quickly. Only problem is that a response at the moment will take a few days, and you might not hear back until next week.

That's really good news actually, thanks! I had thought about the warranty being voided by cutting away the heat shrink, so I left the saber entirely as is and only tried some DIY on the LED unit, the saber should still have its warranty. Hopefully I can find someone around here with some good experience.
