Hi all,

First time posting and new to the saber building scene. I am planning a build with a Saberforge hilt, not sure which one yet, but was wondering if I should start from a Initiate Level or Warrior Level.

I am planning to add a soundboard and do not want to use the 6w or 12w led that Saberforge provides. My concern is I do not know if the Heatsink from The Custom saber Shop will fit and secure into the Saberforge Hilt. I don't mind purchasing a Warrior Level Hilt if I need to have the specific LED Heatsink if Saberforge does not sell it by itself.

Thanks,

Yes, they will fit. I've used them in two DIY build from SF.
I would recommend these..

Algeanon, something else to consider. Warrior tier has a latching switch. Most sabers with sound boards utilize a momentary switch. With that being said I would opt for an initiate hilt.

Thanks for that, I did not think about the switch. I am still trying to decide which saber right now. They all look cool. Maybe Sinister Prophecy or The Phoenix.

And if you go the Initiate hilt route, make sure you specify that you'd like the threads not glued. You can loosen it up with some heat, but why go through that if you don't have to. Or if you go with the Sinister Prophecy, you can get it via ASP and it will come unassembled anyway.

In any case, good luck with your build!
