Just purchased this Arbiter in December with rechargable battery and Sabercore Crimson soundboard. I believe that would be "Champion" level.

I've attached a picture, but was wondering if there would be any problem with me converting these wires to a "quick-connect" setup. I've noticed that this particular LED doesn't have the resistors and it made me pause. Also FYI this has an illuminated power button. (not sure if that matters).

The intent of me converting it to "quick-connect" is to easily switch out the 12W LED modules from Saberforge website. I already have an indigo with quick connect option on order.

Thanks in advance for the advice.

Hey there! Your first post must have gotten overlooked due to the influx of spambots that were flooding the forum the other day.

No, there shouldn't be a reason why you couldn't install them yourself; the kind of connectors SF uses are Deans Micro Plugs:
Make sure to get this kind, as they also make ones with the regular male and female style connection.

Here's what they look like installed (photo courtesy of Shameem a.k.a DarthMario):

You'd just need to cut the positive and negative wires (though not at the same time!) to the LED and solder them to the leads of the connectors. Make sure to put the kill key in to cut power to the circuit before doing anything! Also this will void your warranty (if you are worried about that kind of thing).

No I'm not the great Shameem :P It's been a while since he's posted, but he goes by DarthMario95 on the forum (he used to have the head moderator job before Kyntiri did).

Hey guys, new problem here. 2 of my 3 LED's don't seem to work anymore.

I have 2 sabers and 3 different LED's modules from SF, all have quick connects. The blood orange and indigo LED's have resistors on them, the green LED does not (I don't know why).

I switched out the green LED for the indigo one. The indigo one immediately worked upon testing, but then it no longer functioned once I placed it back into the hilt. Now, it doesn't work at all in either hilt. I wiggle the wires around to see if it's a bad connection and nothing changes. Now, the blood orange LED is dead as well.

Both hilts work fine and the green LED still works in both.

My question is: do the LED modules with resistors die easily if they get a power surge or interruption of power? Is it reasonable to think that pressing these modules back into the hilts caused the issue? Right now, I have 2 dead LED's, both of which have resistors.

Do you guys have any thoughts? I live within driving distance of SF so I could just go in and drop them off for repair, but I just wanted to get info before I do that.
