Since I got my first SaberForge hilt with the SaberCore V3 and the USB Jack, I've been thinking to create a custom Kill Key to cover the Jack for decorative purposes.

I did this by using some USB Dust Plugs and Plastic Pipe Plugs, both easily available through eBay for small money.

Here's what I used for the Pipe Plugs: Link

Note that I chose an outer Diameter of 14 mm, but other sellers will call out the respective pipe inner diameter instead.
A 14mm Disc fits very well for the Slot of the USB Jack with some space around so it will not get stuck in the socket.

I cut these Plugs plain with a Box Cutter so that I only get the cover piece which is around 3.3mm thick by itself.
The plugs feature a hollow center on the underside for molding reasons. This serves as a good slot to fit the head of the USB plugs in.

For the Micro USB dust covers, I chose these because they got good reviews for being flexible enough to have a good grip and don't fall out easily (note however that they shipped from China and took over a month to arrive in Germany).

Next I cut the USB Plugs to fit into the hollow slot on the backside of the cover piece.
Since I had plenty of plugs, I tried different patterns until I got the right fit.

Note that I always left the bottom (inside) edge intact so that the plug would not get lost in the jack during tryouts.

I ended up with the following cutting pattern which gave a pretty snug fit for the pipe plug slot.

Finally, I just used superglue to glue the two components together.

After thorough drying and a first tryout, the custom Kill Key sits pretty secure in the USB jack but can still easily be removed by lifting the cap at the outside edge.

I like how the look turned out, and although it's not a metal head plug, I like the contrast and think it fits my hilt pretty well.

Maybe some of you will want to try their own variant for this? Would be happy for any feedback.
