Hey all,

I just received my initiate-tier Bane Mk2. It's utterly gorgeous, and I'm thrilled with it as my first lightsaber project :D However, it is my first, so there's some basic stuff I'm clueless about. One of these is the covertec wheel.

My hilt came with a wheel and a large screw that looks like it's for holding it on, but I have no idea where it would go since there are no empty screw holes, and it didn't come with a large enough allen wrench to screw it in anyway. I'm not super concerned about putting the wheel on right now, since I don't have plans to take it anywhere for a while and I like the symmetry of the saber without it, but I'd like to have the option. Can anyone enlighten me?

I believe that one (or both, depending on handedness) of the thumbscrews towards the Bane's pommel can be unscrewed and replaced with the wheel. Don't quote me on that, however.

Also, pictures or it didn't happen! Drop us a review! :woohoo:

EDIT: This one, I believe. Circled in red.

Take out one of these screws on either side.

Depending on whcih way you want to hang it off your belt, install covertech with new screw like so..

Thanks for the replies! I'll have to tinker with it and see if I can rig it. It's a shame it didn't come with the belt clip to. I'll be posting a review of it once I successfully install some electronics (or blow the pommel off it trying)!

Bonus question: any tips for taking it apart and putting it back together? I already plan on being extremely attentive to the screws and such, but the whole clamshell design isn't exactly common, and hard to find any pics/videos of.

This is correct :)

I chose not to put my wheel on my Bane as I felt it sorta spoilt the looks of the hilt.

I would, however, like to get rid of that bloody seam line running down the centre of the hilt, but haven't a clue on how to proceed??

The clip is one of the options on the order form. It's a $10 charge, which is about the going rate for one of those clips. Still, if you want one, they're not hard to get hold of, you can even order one from SaberForge.
