TOPIC: Crystal Blade Plug

So the Crystal Descent, it appears that the crystal is not like the others crystal sabers, but rather a blade plug with a crystal in it. Would it be possible to order just that blade plug from them? Because I already have the Venom emitter for my personal Characters ASP Saber, and having The crystal blade plug would complete it. Or could I have them create one for me with one of the other ASP Blade Plug Styles? Because I do have a specific Blade Plug I like to have with my design. Thanks for the info.

Also, would it be possible to outsource to someone else maybe and get a crystal onto an actual blade so I can see the crystal with the blade open? or would that take away too much from the brightness of the led in the blade?

I thought about ordering one from customs, but it didn't quite have the look I was going for, and for $100, I wanted it to be exactly what I wanted. You could always make your own for way less. I've been working on one for my ASP for a while now that is mostly made up of parts I found in old boxes at our workshop. I think the only pieces I spent money on were the crystals and an ASP blade plug to make the top look complete. It's still not finished, but here's what I've got so far.

ASP? Once my saber finally arrives, I plan on making a crystal blade plug for my Epoch emmiter as well. Hows it look outside the saber? |

Well... Outside the saber, it just looks like a pile of parts... Haha! I don't have it all fastened together yet. The top piece is held up by the oversized diameter of the ASP blade plug 1, and the bottom piece is just sitting on the LED. I'm going to add some brass support rods to hold it all together.

I was thinking of the #4 blade plug i ordered, some crystal(s), washers, maybe wrench sockets and tje extra covertec knob I ordered with a little gold wire for "functional" flare.
Thought abiut some Swarofski crystals as well haha. |

NP  Rennek makes a good argument and makes a good alternative too. For the desired length of the plug specific to deep windowed emitters, some DIY can also achieve it. Far from being clean by any means as an aesthetically pleasing stand alone item, I went and hacked together a 3D printed cage with a glued crystal and transplanted off cut pieces of polycarb blade stock for a temporary fix on an Archon. Does the job for now.. |

Very nice, OvrcAHst. And there's that polished finish again that I love so much! I've never been a big fan of weathered finishes, but it really looks great combined with the polished. Did you make that razor blade plug piece, or is that one of ARKM's?

I've done these
shell is from Shapeways (Sedsti Skyfaller Designs) Crystals are a mix of Swarovski and Crystal marbles. The Swarovski crystals give off amazing of shine and color, and the marbles look like they have mini galaxies inside them. |

It's an ARKM. I received it as a gimme with a saber hilt (abandoned project from former owner) and the BP was actually stuck inside the blade socket of said hilt. Known methods of dislodging were unsuccessful and upon successfully removing, saw that the plug face and blade stock was disfigured. Salvaged what I could, namely the razor top, and something was recreated from the miscellaneous spares tub.

I've been seriously considering ordering one. I think they look awesome! I just know that I'll try to cannibalize it for this crystal blade plug I'm working on, and I'd be pretty ticked if I messed up a blade plug that nice! Haha!

Sure. I did something similar with my first attempt at a crystal blade plug for my Bastion.
And when I started the one I'm working on for my ASP, my original idea was to sandwich a crystal between the metal pieces from two blade plug 5s. I got the idea from a photo someone had posted on another thread of their crystal chamber that used a similar concept. However, every time I found a cool looking metal piece or brass fitting, my design would completely change to try to incorporate the new part... After a year of redesigning and accumulating boxes of metal pieces, I still haven't finished the stupid thing...

As I am living near a mountain range, getting my hands on a beautiful quartz or similar shouldn't be that hard. Buying two blade plugs and having a friend of mine who owns a 3D printer print a "cage" I can fit the crystal isn't that hard either.
What length of blade plug do I need for the Epoch emitter? |

Just buy a blade plug (#4 asp) and tell them its forna epoch emitter.
I just today found a kyber for my epoch emitter. A nice longer thin quarts that had been crafted pink (ew painting crystals) but its translucent with good light flow and sickly fuscia as I wanted for my pink blade  Non sith btw haha. |
