Out of the ashes comes the rebirth of the Phoenix.
First and foremost I'd like to send a shout out to Justin Polachek for the custom work.
She returned to my hands a few short hours ago.

A run down of the customizations completed of which I requested.

- Sanded Shroud
- Powder coated and milled pommel (which is actually the Black Lotus pommel after a closer look).
- Shroud rotated 180° and adhered in place
- Shroud retention screw deleted
- Tri Force of Graflex pins added
- Brass kill key and covertech
- 12w+ Cyan w/ QC

With the shroud retention screw removed and the shroud adhered in place this beauty has now become one of the most comfortable duellers around. The sanded shroud is like night and day in comparing it to the previous finish. It looks simply fantastic and way better than the silver powder coat IMO. I will be adding a couple of my own small greeblies in the near future and to note I had another blade retention screw added on the opposite side as well.

I have a few quick connect modules so just wanted to try a new colour (I got the Mint Green with it at the same time). I think the Cyan is one of my favourites as of right now. Man this thing is awesome in person.

The cost I paid was based around an hourly rate. So it's dependent on how long it will take to do the customizations that you request and you pay the 'shop fee' for the amount of time taken to complete. So prices will vary person to person pending your ideas and requests. I'm unsure if I should say what the custom shop fees are, but you can email them if you some ideas for your own saber This email address is being protected from spambots. I wanted it to be "mine" in comparison to other Phoenix sabers out there but I didn't want it too be too outrageous as well. I wanted it to look like you sprinkled some sugar on it B) Ya know what I mean? I knew it had potential to be a bit cooler than how it looked on the Etsy listing.
It just needed a couple of small things to make it awesome. Now for a couple more greeblies to add to it for that extra little detail. I had a couple of other ideas for Justin to do but they didn't quite pan out because there was not enough material depth to bore into it to recess a switch, not a big deal however. The rest looks great.
The removal of the shroud retention knob screw makes it comfortable to grip everywhere. The rabbit ears act like small cross guards as well for your hand to choke up on when doing spins and flourishes.
I should of went with the standard 2 Graflex pins but the 3 pins in triangular formation looks good as well.

I literally just wanted graflex pins. 2. 3. 4. 52.. I didn't care lol. It was Justin who suggested the 3 and used the Tri-Force reference which I liked so I went with it. I still really like the outcome. :cheer:

It's a nice touch to an already great saber!

If one could recess them enough, you could make them functional/practical by using them as a recharge port. You would still want a kill key, but to be able to attach the saber to a base which has a receptacle for those pins to recharge it (especially if that base were really cool looking too) would just add that little touch of realism that we all love to create.

Absolutely gorgeous. I have an affinity for sabers that are symmetrical in appearance. The phoenix is a saber on my "must buy" list if it comes back.
