I realize this part of the forums are for people who are reviewing a purchase. However, I'm going to review an unexpected occurrence i had the other day.

On my way home to Janesville WI from the northern part of the state, i made a stop(can't remember where) to get some gas. Parked next to me was a gentleman who actually wears his hilt around on a daily basis(so he claimed). After sitting for a few minutes of staring at it trying to think of the design it finally dawned on me that it was a SF Sinister Prophecy hilt. I engaged him in a conversation a he revealed to me that he was the 3rd owner of this particular hilt and he was very impressed that i could tell him more about the origins of this hilt then the previous owner. He was so impressed he was kind enough to let me hold it and check it out a bit.

This particular SF SP was in the champion configuration. Despite that the sound was turned off I was impressed that the 12w red still shone so brightly and clearly in a such a sunny day.

The hilt was, despite its appearances, very light and easy to twirl. After the 32" blade was put on, I discovered that it pretty close to being perfectly balanced (near horizontal if placed on the edge of your hand but with a 5 degree incline). I have to say, even with the short amount of time with this hilt, I can safely say that it is going to be hilt #3 for me.
Blades:

1. Consular yellow (Confirmed)
2. Epoch green (Shipped 3/8/2015!)
3. Dark Reclaimer (ASP service not yet available)

Wish I could see folks like that on a regular basis. It'd make this world so much more interesting.

Does this fall under 'conceal and carry' laws?

If it does, then the fact that sabers aren't really in any law book is pretty good for us!

Wouldn't that be considered "open carry"

Hah, good point! Perhaps we are starting a revolution where people carry sabers, like how everyone carried a sword on their belt up until the late 19th Century. Maybe people will begin to settle disputes honorably with a public duel again. Wouldn't that be cool!?

That would be pretty awesome until someone takes it too far, kind of like in the 19th century. I wonder if there is a billing code in the emergency room for 'Injury by lightsaber'?
