Same. I just got my own epoch.. and I really like it. Can't wait for it to come back from SF. (Got it via a trade and the saber needed a little work done so I sent it in, as it was still under warranty).. but the epoch is a beautiful hilt. I like the new design too but the old one is just too classy to pass up completely.

Roger that! In actuality, I would not mind having one of each, but since it comes down to a choice between the two, I just feel like there is an elegance to the original that gives way to practicality on the new one. Nothing wrong with that...it just has to be your thang. B)

The Archon is gorgeous, except I hate the ring instead of the covertec clip. Anyone know if that's a customization that can be made?

I'm guessing as how most of the renders do not have covertech knobs on them, that it will still have a covertech knob on it. But, that's just a guess. At this point I'm going to say no, I don't think we've heard that about it just yet.

Thanks DarthMario95 for this topic, as I don't have friendface I otherwise wouldn't keep up with this.

The new Epoch design looks great though glad we ordered ours already.

A Saber based on Kirito's Beam Sabre/Photon Sword sounds disturbingly enticing... Hope this isn't out for sometime for my hip pocket.

I don't think we know yet, but the render looks a little too detailed for an Apprentice model. I am gonna venture a guess at Elite.

Yeah, probably, tho the Arbiter and Disciple are a lot more detailed than the Acolyte and Consular were...I guess we'll see. :)

I think the way that Phil categorizes the hilts is by one piece or multi-piece construction. All of the apprentice sabers are made from a single body aluminum while most to all elite sabers are multiple constructed parts.

-Sorcerer Staff (12w Deep Blue During Standard-Release)
