I have been in love with the Regal since the moment I saw it. I have waited for it to come to the top of the release schedule, and was disappointed to learn that it had been held up for specific reasons. However, a month ago or so, when Phil became aware of the interest in this design, Thomas Snyder did a new render of it using ASP parts, and Phil said he would include those parts with a future expansion pack. I HOPE beyond hope that it is the first one, but I have not actually heard confirmation of that, unless someone heard something different. Bottom line is, there is hope, and when the parts become available, I will be there to jump on it! |

2 quick questions for anyone who may know the answer...
1. Will the release of the Protector discontinue the Redeemer? 2. Has the release of the new Grand Master been considered "limited Etsy" or permanent with the replacement of the old Grand Master? Thanks - Trying to decide on some Labor Day purchases

1 - Last I heard, nope. Protector is the Episode 4 model, Redeemer the Episode 3.
2 - Last I heard (sound familiar?) The Grandmaster was originally slated for a total redesign and update, however the new model proved much more expensive to make, and time consuming in the shop to produce, so they had limited the new run to this run ONLY. I haven't heard yet if they're planning on doing more runs of it after this one sells out or not. |

God I know that feeling. I so badly would like a Champion Grandmaster staff. But I've reached my budget for sabers for the year. Ugh. |

Thomas was posting some designs on Facebook today and said that as far as he knows, the Regal is going to be in the first expansion pack - he mentioned sending finalized designs for all the parts in, so hopefully we'll be seeing it soon

Phil's already said that ASP is launching with the first two expansion sets, so the first ACTUAL expansion to the system will be early 2016. So... Januaryish!

I realize this is a little off-topic, but does anyone know where I could find information on any redesigns? I just learned that the viper has been redesigned to have the same emitter as the venom, but with different claws (the longer hilt extension is on the viper too). Is there somewhere I could learn of such decisions beforehand, so I'm not as surprised?

Nope. They don't really make a public announcement about these types of things. Follow their Facebook, and sometimes (when I'm paying attention and not being too lazy) I'll make an effort to update things here as well.

SF does not do replicas. Of any type. Replicas is a bad word. You don't use the word replicas.
