Hello friends, I'm Jonathan and I'm from the Midwest.

To be completely honest I'm very new at this and very unsure if I should buy from SaberForge due to the reviews I've seen. I really want a light saber and they have my dream sith saber but I don't want to spend +100 on a saber that I wont see for +3 months and get it and it be damaged, not working or even the wrong one.

Just a suggestion Saber Forge would probably be more successful if they had a page you go to and know the progress of you saber and pictures step by step so you have visual of wants going on day by day. I mean to me that would make me want to buy one instead of not knowing.

I would appreciate it if someone give me some kind of hope that these are professionals creating something I've wanted since I saw episode 4, if not.. whats the point?

Welcome, Johnathan from Midwest!

If you want your saber faster and don't need to customize it, you can buy it thtough Saberforge's etsy page! It takes 1-2 weeks to get your saber on there!

Both of my SF sabers have been exactly what I asked for. Yes, it takes time but it's worth it. They have lived up to my expectations entirely. I also wouldn't worry too much about receiving the wrong items or damaged items. In all cases I've heard of, people send the order back to SF and they get their new/repaired/exchanged items in a week'ish.

Even taking into account their long lead time, I honestly can't say there is a saber company I would suggest over SaberForge. They have a lot going for them and I plan to order from them again and again.

I'm not sure what else I can tell you other than I don't think you have nothing to worry about.

And there's that, which I always seem to forget to mention to new customers. Thanks.

Thank you guys for the tips. I'm going the cheaper way and just getting it with out sound so I can do that later and even upgrade the LEDs. wish there was a check list on etsy so its easy to pick what you want and just uncheck what you don't. They look legit but for some reason when it comes to spending money I have to just know details.\

I'm glad to know that there's is hope in the universe. ;D

Jonathan,

If you have never owned a light saber I can understand being hesitant in going full bore on the purchase especially when the company you are buying from is up front on the ability to upgrade the sound option in the future.

I would encourage you to seriously consider the 12w upgrade on the warrior if you decide to go with the non-sound version. Besides the superior light the Lithium Ion battery is rechargeable (recharger included) and it will serve you for a long time without have to relace batteries constantly. So even if you wait on sound or just use the first saber as a jumping on point you will have the knowledge that it is going to last a good long while.

Welcome to the hobby and the forum. Read the old posts to gain knowlege and feel free to ask questions If there are things that you don't understand.

May the Forge be with you!

Ask yourself if you want them taking pictures and letting you know how the day went? Or do want them working on peoples sabers?

Okay, I asked myself and being the true American I am, I would say I prefer quality over quantity. If I get it and it's right the first time because it takes 2 seconds to post a picture and update progress while at the same time executing amazing customer service then yes I say post pictures and give me a time line with the progress.

I personally care about the time frame and the money I earned to spend and pretty sure SF does to or they wouldn't have come so far. It's a great idea and in my --> OPINION
This was just me trying to get comfort in buy from a company that has Some bad reviews. That's why I post.
