I am considering buying a Hero-Class Venom saber. Does it have these features?

1) Is it possible to disable temporarily or lower the sensitivity of color changing? I read a few reviews online that whilst doing a flourish, the color changed. This sounds like it could be an annoying feature when not needed.

2) Can anyone send me a link or PDF on how to program the soundboard?

3) Can I ask for a Pre-programmed soundboard for the Hero-Class? I.E. Crimson sound font which I can adjust.

4) Where can I find free, safe (no viruses) lightsaber sound effects? I want blaster deflect sounds, saber clash sounds and all that (Crimson-esque), use them with the saber once programmed?

That should be all, thanks in advance!

1) There is a setting on the board that allows you to require a button to be held AND the twisting motion to change the color. I keep it off because I like to change on the fly, but it's an option!

2) The Spark Color 2 manual has a pretty in-depth guide on what each setting does. Most of the changes can be done over Naigon's settings editor. You can find links to both on the Spark Color 2 page on Naigon's website: http://www.saberigniter.com/sparkcolor2.aspx

Sound files are a bit more difficult. You'll need to fiddle around with that a bit.

3) SF doesn't provide sound files for the Crimson and Viridium sound fonts. However, the board comes with 6 preset sound files (Father's Son, Essence: Episode 1, Essence: Episode 2, 501st Commander, All Too Easy, and Standard Issue). The saber is good to run right out of the box, though you might want to charge it first!

4) SaberFont.com has the most sounds, but charges for them. You can find some decent free sound files on Naigon's website. I kept mostly the default sound files on my saber but I replaced Essence: Episode 1 with my own voice making whooshy noises.

Hello!

Where can I find info on increasing my rank in the forum?
I'm new to forums in general.

Thanks!

Every post moves you closer to the next rank. Even I am not sure of what the exact post count for each rank is, but the first level is under 100, and they get a further apart as you go. I believe that the top level (not including Moderator which is appointed), is Platinum, and that is around 450 posts. Others might have more exact numbers, but that is about the way it plays out.
Imagine what you will know tomorrow....

Hi Gungi and Brax,

If I remember correctly, the rankings are..

New Member post till 20,
Junior is reached at 20 posts
Senior is reached at 40 posts
Premium is reached at 80 posts
Elite is reached at 160 posts

And Platinum is 330 posts I believe.
(I'm not 100% certain as I reached this level twice due to Knytiri the Administrator deleting a thread by mistake, wiping 40 of my posts, then another 40 or so we're deleted when he removed some unwanted accounts! Because of this I should be nearer 900 posts!)

The best advice is not to worry about your ranking, just get involved with topics, make friends and share this great forum and you will climb the ladder before you know it!

Kind regards,

For Tyeth

Four more posts and you can!

EDIT: And are we sure that Platinum isn't 320? The numbers double each rank, but if that were really 330, it would break the pattern.
The above post may be subject to editing. A lot of editing.

Hello! New member here. Just got my Acolyte that I ordered off Etsy and the metal knob of my Kill Key has fallen off the plastic after only pulling the Kill Key out of my saber 3 or 4 times (and without my actually using my saber for anything other than ooo-ing and aaah-ing as it lights up and makes sounds, LOL). The plastic is now stuck in the slot and I can't seem to pull it out.

So, my question is, what kind of glue do I need to attach the metal knob back onto the plastic Kill Key part in order to pull it out of my saber, keep the knob from falling off again, and not damage anything?

Thanks for any help! :)

UPDATE: I e-mailed SaberForge and Melissa responded recommending I use a small amount of super glue in the metal knob, make sure it's even, and then stick it back onto the plastic peg. I used Guerilla Glue and it worked! No damage and the kill key works fine now. Thanks, Melissa!

Courtesy of For Tyeth, Platinum = 320 ;)

EDIT: I just realised how redundant this Post of mine is as it was discussed and exchanged with Ryan-Rising just a few Post's back with For Tyeth. I'm such a fool. Captain Obvious signing-out.

Hi,

Is there a difference between the Champion Level Sabercore Viridium Sound Font and the Hero Tier Father's Son Sound Font? I have tried to listen for differences on youtube and cannot tell if they are in fact the same font.

Thanks! ;)

I'm sure this has probably been answered a few times, but I seem to be unable to find an answer.

What is the average OD of the Saber Forge sabers?

What is the OD of Bane and Vanquish?

I only wonder because I'm always seeing people complain about the US sabers being "bulky", but the ones I have fit my hands fine... are the SF hilts that much smaller?

The ID of SF sabers are 1", and while the OD can vary from saber to saber, it isn't much larger than that (for example, the Apprentice hilts are 1" ID and 1.35" OD). Some of the saber descriptions on the main site list the OD, but not all of them (would be a nice addition).

For reference/comparison, the ID of parts from TCSS are 1.25"

On a Champion saber with Viridium sound, is 1 least sensitive in the settings, or is it 9? I can't remember, and my saber's really sensitive to motions either way, playing the same sound bite every time I move it slightly. This video is going to finish uploading in the next five minutes of this post, but it on setting 1 for both movement settings:

Is there a way to make it not subscribe you to threads when you reply to them by default?

I always forget to unsubscribe and end up with a ton of spam mail.

Also I think we need to add more forum ranks or realign them I'm closing in on plat in about 100 more then what will I shoot for???

No, no shooting, adaptive blaster parts aren't up yet. You'll have to wait for that. In the meantime, watch your hands, those sabers are hazardous...
