TOPIC: My Sabers arrived!! (with Pics)

I placed my order on November 29th and they are finally here!!

I ordered two sabers, a hero Sinister prophecy weathered with yellow and blood orange as the two colors. and a Gladius standard finish with bronze stingray wrap and a 12w purple blade. It has been a long 2.5 months of waiting but I must say it was worth the wait. I am thrilled with the fit and finish of these sabers they are stunning!!

That being said, as I was opening the packaging I noticed that the Gladius was not as I had ordered it! It was well, lets say uniquely weathered. I was disappointed at first but as I looked at it it really grew on me and realized that based on what I have seen on these forums I had a "unique" saber! Not to mention being an LSU fan it works!

so I am very happy to share these pics with everyone here and get your thoughts!

The Sinister Prophecy is just too cool and I love the sounds and color changes, my only regret is that I should have chosen colors a little further apart on the rainbow but I still LOVE this saber!!

I am thrilled to be a first time saber owner and look forward to many years of dueling and enjoying these and the probable cadre of sabers to come!!

Oooooh, that IS unique! Did you order it unweathered? Or did you order it weathered and for some reason it ended up like this?

I ordered it as a standard finish so I was very surprised to get a Purple weathered one!!

Pretty sabers. Gotta love that SP. But I have to wonder if somebody ordered a weathered Gladius and received a standard finished one. Like a mix-up thing.

Phil's probably knocking some heads at his shop right now for mixing up the order, lol.

I just asked Phil about the apparently "blue" weathered Gladius compared with the "standard" weathered Sinister Prophecy pictured above, he said you can never know exactly how anodizing will strip, and that those two hilts represent the range that can occur during the weathering process.

The Sinister is 13 inches long and the Gladius is 10.
