This "Frost Lotus" was posted on the SF Facebook page last night:


Interchangeable blue lit acrylic claws, highly detailed crystal chamber with 4 windows, polished crystal holders and 8 support rods. Powder coated white body with silver accents. Custom quad cree frost blue LED *2x white 2x deep blue dies*

Hmmm, not my style, but has some very unique design aspects. It would appear that the emitter is milled through underneath the claws, which also seem to be drilled out as well. To bad the claw retention bolts weren't anodized blue as well, it would've been a more uniform finish IMO. Curious if this will inspire someone to have a white on black Stormtrooper hilt created.

I will agree that it is a bit too "theme-y" for my tastes, but I like the craftsmanship none the less.

And speaking of a white on black hilt, that reminds me of an idea I had for a Hero Viper, with all the silver bits white and the accents and claws black, and the LED being deep blue and blood orange, a.k.a the Staw Wars equivalent of an Aperture Science Portable Quantum Tunneling Device.

I'd say interchangeable i.e. between all Viper-Type versus all Venom-Type. As for duel-worthy, they'd be constructed from the same polycarb the Axe blades are so..Yes? :unsure:

No Sir, 'fraid not. While the colour scheme is interesting it reminded me of: Frozen, Smurfs and R2-D2 etc. so I thought I'd have a play. :lol: I personally am not heavily fond of multi-clawed Emitters. :dry: What does interest me though is the (what looks like a Blade Plug) and the illumination of the described Frost Blue made up from Quad Cree W/W/Rb/Rb.

EDIT:

Yep, Loving the Stand and that Blade Plug with the polished Silver. Slap a Crystal Chamber onto the underside and I'm Sold! The Claws are heard as referenced as Acrylic. So maybe not duel-worthy especially since the Aluminium ones that are interchangeable usually don't withstand duelling either.

Just wanna share the good news of the upcoming new addition to SF's fantastic hilts!

I personally really like the combination of blue and white on this saber...This hilt would be suitable for the battles on icy planets like Hoth :D

That's I took away from this as well (since, like I said in the other thread, this hilt is a bit too "theme-y for my tastes). It may change my mind about lit AV switches!

Hopefully we see more design ideas from Mrs. Isherwood in the future.
