First and foremost an honorable mention, including and not limited to, Justin Polacheck. Absolute appreciation, admiration & gratitude for excelling in his field. This man is a genius. Takes concept ideas described in dialogue aided with photo-shopped images, hand-drawn sketches and realises them, accurate with execution, to the imagined result. An evolving achievement. Well delivered.

May I (as a teaser) present to you my (soon to be acquired) Hero Crystal Exalted.

I debated posting these images before I physically had the hilt, but JP was kind enough to show them (in a feature post demonstrating his work on Facebook-Saberforge Customs) a few days ago and I just wanted to share the glorious high I am on. Before I could do this (or felt comfortable with), I emailed him as a professional courtesy if he would object to my re-posts as it isn't my property yet and with his acceptance, here I am.

I won't go into too much detail of the process here but will definitely do so with a complete review once I have it. Although it is a Custom, it derived from a current range hilt so the actual Review will be Posted in the Crystal Exhalted Section. [Stay tuned?] Don't want to even think about when I'll get it, but it's definitely exciting and reassuring to know it's completed. Come that day, I'll be one happy Camper!

A basic profile:
Hero 6/6/12 | Weathered | Medium Shattered Weathering | Permanent Crystal Chamber

A picture:

I am ecstatic with ecstasy.

It's like the ignorant bliss and celebrated joy on Christmas Morning as a young child.

Here's a few more.

I can hardly wait to take delivery.

Thank you for your audience.

Instead of a crystal reveal you have a crystal shatter there and it looks so sweet. I can't wait to see more closeups when you get it in hand.

What LED die combos do you gave there? I'm guessing some mix of r/a/g/g or something. The color mixing looks fantastic!

Thank you all for your comments.

You have successfully articulated what I couldn't.

@Borommakot
That weathering looks phenomenal!
Definitely no disagreement with you there. I was apprehensive during this part of the discussion with JP. My initial request was for Heavy Shattered weathering but since the evolution of the crystal I scaled back and was partly driven by concern that the Heavy interpretation would look virtually identical to Shameems "Sacrifice" weathering.

@Artair

The anticipation is killing me. Am trying to remain level headed during the down-time until I receive delivery. Lucky for me, work keeps me busy.
=Ottomatix= nailed it with his post re: the Led Combo.

@=Ottomatix=

Nice assist on the Led comment by Artair in my absence. Cool Idea?, I'd like to think so however I can't take all the credit. This is Phil's & Saberforges creation that resulted in a cool saber. I was lucky enough to have JP assist with personalising it for me. The intention is there for Full duel. Without any switch boxes there should be minimal obstruction without grip compromise. Have always loved the Crystal Sabers but other than Shelf-Queens or gentle play-time the reveal function reviews always created a fragile concern and when revealed made the hilt look flimsy. Mind you, intend to get them too eventually. Actually stumbled across a local Duel Academy I never knew existed called "Sons of Obi Wan". May even end up here to get my nerd-on.

@Gorobulus

Beyond the badass-dome. I revel in the fact it looks like something unearthed by accident, used as a conduit for knowledge & power.

I respect the general consensus and opinions about clean finished hilts. Don't know why, but a dirty one has always had more appeal.

This has to be one of the most detailed sabers i've ever seen. You can almost feel the emotion just by looking at the photos; so I can't imagine what it'll be like to hold in your hand.

I'm not as big a fan of the weathering on lightsabers as a lot of people seem to be, but I do really like the design you've got there. Probably better than any spring-loaded crystal reveal chamber. I wish you a fast delivery and many ooh's and ahh's sent your way.

Credit to Justin and yes, enjoyment is foreseen as plentiful on the horizon.

Imagine this (as I do and have been), Tears- abundantly overwhelmed, a quivering lower lip, a blubbery mess, down on the floor rocking back and forth in the fetal position oblivious to everything else around me... maybe?, likely :lol:

I'm actually the opposite when it comes to Hilt Finish and yup, the design came together quite successfully. The spring-loaded CR is where my fascination stemmed from. I don't dismiss them-they still hold high appeal. As a duel-worthy Hilt, I wanted a point of difference to the standard Exhalted. Hoping for the outcome this way encouraged a more rigid design by removing the fragile nature of the twist-open function. Strength, conviction and uninhibited restraint. It's the "ooh's" and the "ahh's" with some "what-what's" that's fuelling the expectant delivery.

This is exciting, well for me any way, for those of you that are subscribers of Saberforge Customs FaceBook page the following images are about a week old apparently. I don't have an FB account so am not up-to-speed. The excitement is knowing that a second hilt I have with Justin has been completed, another beauty I am looking forward to receiving.

Custom Black Chrome Shattered Hero Monarch.

Basically ditto =Ottomatix=, about "This one is yours as well.?.!" Not about the word "dinkum" though. I haven't the foggiest idea what that means.

The polish over the weathering is something I've not seen before. Almost as if someone found this as a relic in an ancient underground city, and cleaned it up and gave life to it once again. But what do I know? It's your saber.

@=Ottomax= & Ryan-Rising

Fair Dinkum's accuracy in the way it's consistent to the intended specs as discussed with Justin. I'm thankful for the many email exchanges between Justin and I discussing these two as during the course of it all I'm certain I tested his patience, well a little I'd say if not a lot. He's been very hospitable and accommodating. Credit to Justin.

Yes I commissioned these two with him, but technically since they're still there and not here, I guess they're not mine...yet.

The treatment plan for this Saber Fever I've been diagnosed with well, is new. So far it's rewarding and every indication suggests that the merits will be equally so in due course.

Kirabi I think the same thing quite often on here. I have a house, car, kids to pay for. Getting one saber ordered once ASP comes online is my goal. I cant imagine having thousands invested into light sabers. Soooooo many other things compete for my money.
