"If your saber or blade is damaged or broken within 1 year after purchase, we will replace or repair it for free. Our sabers and blades are warrantied for dueling NOT dropping. User inflicted damage from dropping a saber on a hard surface is not covered under warranty, blade on blade full contact dueling is covered."
straight from the website

I have also read about people dropping them multiple times and still working. The blades are almost indestructible, and the hilts can take a good beating, but if you are dueling well you wont be hitting the hilt haha and if something were to happen to it, the warranty covers it for a full year.

SF's focus is on making duel-ready combat lightsabers. So, yes, you can duel. However, this doesn't mean you can go crazy and beat a brick wall with your saber and expect it not to break (and yes, someone actually expected that very thing.... hence why I mention it.)

Full power dueling is fine, warrantied against any mishaps. Abuse is not. And, if you're going to be dueling with V4 blades.... definitely look into some protection. These things frakkin HURT. I broke my nose on one once... broke a buddy of mine's finger... countless bruises, welts, etc...

As stated, protection is important. If you are doing some slow speed stuff and moderate drills with a partner it's not that necessary but for any real dueling you should look into protective gloves/gauntlets, a heavy jacket (fencing jackets work well, look at coaches jackets for ones without the crotch strap) and a decent fencing mask. Your eyes are important. Also, consider a gorget if you are doing any thrusting. Taking a jab in the throat isn't fun. I do some HEMA longsword stuff and even at what you consider slow speed low force sparing can lead to some nasty ouchies.
