TOPIC: 12W Champion Purple Acolyte

What it do!!! Since I have finally had some time to spend with my saber, I think its is time for my review. I got a 12W Champion Purple Acolyte. First off I jus want people to know this is my opinion. Yo's maybe different, but that's you. First off saber forge and etsy (ordered from them) both did a good job with answering my questions. Both usually back to me in a day or so. I had ordered my saber from etsy on February 21 and I got it Saturday the 28. So it only took a week, that was fast. Cant wait 8-10 weeks, have little patience for that. Got all the parts, that was helpful. I have had no problem with my saber turning "pinkish color" on a low charge. This is my first saber, but I know I got a very good one to start with.

Pros
The hilt has good weight and balance.
Hilt it self is crafted very nicely, very good quality.
Its also feels very sturdy, like it wont break like glass.
It is good for a two handed grip, I have big hands and have no problem with it.
Size is perfect just under 11", doesn't feel clunky or weird.
1 piece hilt, with grooved in grips, feel comfortable and grips good(duh)!!!
Like I said, full blade color all the way throughout, purple stays bright and purple!!!
Price I saved money, and was able to get 12w led, and still save money.
Sound quality is good, loud.
Cons
The saber core crimson sound fx force lighting sounds a little muffled. But that's sound board, not the saber.

To me I give it a 10/10 for a score. I know its my first saber. That's why I wanted to spend some time with it before I wrote this. But I really like this, and price wise its a good deal. Since you want a bright saber get a apprentice, 12w and you save money.

Glad to hear the purple is just that... purple.

I was too, worried for a bit when I heard bout possible color change issue. But it's been perfect.

I assume that the color change issue only happens on warrior level sabers. That is because with a soundboard, it can regulate the voltage the LED pulls, while the LED in the warrior lv doesn't go through anything and is wired directly to the battery. That's how I understand it. So I have learned not to order mixed diode colors on warrior level sabers.

Does the color change only happen at low battery or the whole time?

When your battery is getting low/weak, your LED will lose its brightness and the color might change a bit!

I left my saber off 4 a couple of days, let charge go low. But still didn't c a color change like how some people made it sound. But if u let a thing go that low on charge u will c a slight difference. I'm very satisfied wit the purchase.

This is the setup that I am hoping to go with. I'm always glad to see reviews of this saber.
