I have done some more messing around, and this is what i have t show for it.

this one is definitely a one-hander, and almost the shortest saber you can design with asp.


then just another design I put together. I only used parts from designs starting with "v". I was thinking of calling it the Vandetta


I really need to find something else to do, i have already spent 3 hrs on the builder :silly:

No way, this is the most fun I've had all day.

I had in mind a staff but I really liked my junkyard-ish saber idea. This is what came out: (albeit not very junkyard-ey)

for all those who are curious, given the CURRENT asp pieces, there is a possibility of:

1,484,032 hilts

factor in blade plugs:

10,388,224

account for both sound fonts:

20,776,448

and the different blade colors:

311,646,720


Needless to say, when Phillip said there would be an endless amount of possible designs, he was so not kidding. Also all these numbers are calculated NOT including the different colored wraps or flipped parts. But that just means even more options.

Soooo how is my lightsaber gonna work? Lol for one thing I guess I have to have the 3" blade plug? And if my plug goes down so far how are they gonna fit the led and the switch section in such a tiny space with that window?

Just wondering is there any more options for the colour of each part other than silver, weathered and black? I'm trying to come up with a Sonic Screwdriver / saber and so far I've got this:

Pretty cool. Maybe you could throw a Redeemer or graflex switch and pomel in there to get some copper going on. My opinion would be to wait a bit to build this. There will probably be much more ASP pieces to choose from down the line, plus it would be cool to do a custom sound font. Unless you got a hilt without sound, and are putting in your own sound board.

That's a good question, I built almost the exact same saber. Do we need a piece in between the switch and the emitter to give it more room to house the electronics?

I did two separate, but you can do two of the same and use your extra part for a staff coupler.

I feel there needs to be a little clarification here.

If you backed at the $700 level giving you the 2 sabers a coupler is included in that, so the stretch goal extra part does not have to be used.

I think I'm pretty solid on this as one of my sabers, for now :P

Oh well, here's my own saber. Pretty sure I'll be buying this beauty if the Renegade doesn't live up to my expectations.

Presenting: The Reprise - Named so in regards to the design callbacks to both Luke's and Anakin's iconic sabers. A familiar weapon for a new hero.

I backed the KS but not at a high enough level to get a saber, but i thought id add one on here that ill be getting as soon as its public.

Its the closest design i can get to Ahsoka Tano shoto, and will be used as a one handed off hand shoto.

I was going for something similar, trying to pair a shoto to the Phoenix instead. Getting it short enough is tough right now. I have mine sitting at 9.4".

Looks like the Viper emitter was added, so hooray! Anyway, this is what I've got so far. More tweaking to be done ;)

Thanks. I'll definitely be waiting until the customisable sound board comes out. I'd probably go with a Viridium font but when holding the button down I'd change it to a sonic screwdriver sound. At least it'll give me time to save for it and won't hurry the wallet as much.

AAAAaaaagggghhhhh!!!!! It's too much! I can't handle it. There is too many choices. I am supposed to be working right now..... Right when I think I have a design I like, I switch something and then go off in a completely different direction. I have too say this saber builder is way better and funner to use than the one I saw on another website.... Very well put together. I like it and can't wait until I can use it too purchase from!
