Hi Adan Valera,

You have nothing to worry about potentially "copying" someone else's design, there have been a lot of similar designs as there are only so many combinations of parts! There is a saying about chimps and typewriters where eventually the apes could type out the works of Shakespeare given time.
Your Sabers look to me slightly more in the middle ground, not traditional Jedi but not totally Sith either. This might sound strange but the design has a utilitarian look to it, like the weapon a Stormtrooper may have carried. A few members also had similar concepts and all the designs looked great. As you can see with Savannah95's design and ones by BoostinIX!

The name "Apex", I like a lot and as far as I know hasn't been used here!

Well done and keep designing,

For Tyeth

Thank you, For Tyeth, for your input. I want to do one saber that looks modern and one that looks much older. I also like the 'down the middle' look as I've always really liked the idea of the Grey Jedi. Thank you again for your kind words!

Many thanks for the recent compliments and yeah, I never thought about the emitter angle that way. I'll keep that in mind for future reference! Funny coincidence about the name! Sometimes I take forever to come up with a good name but The Beacon was quick to come to mind for my latest one! :P

I should have some more designs tomorrow! Still very much looking forward to some more additions to the ASP builder! My dream is to come up with the perfect crossguard saber for myself one day :)

Here's another design I came up with. Once I saw the leather bodied sabers, I knew I wanted one right away, so here's is my second hilt:

The Flux:
-Vigilant Emitter
-Switch #4
-Dissident Body
-Jade Pommel

There is no dark side, nor a light side. There is only The Force.

I am a fan of leather wraps, especially in black so I definitely approve! I've had somewhat of a difficult time building a hilt design off of switch 4 but you pulled it off nicely! Please keep sharing those designs, I enjoy seeing them!

I appreciate it very much! In fact I have one ready right now!

I really feel like so many designs look great in many color schemes (both blade colors and hilt finishes) but here's one of those many combos :side:

Besides, this is all I can do to help me wait for my 1st saber

Hi Savannah95, Adan Valera,

And I enjoy seeing both of your designs! The wrapped hilts are very useful if working to a theme where there is a strong colour associated with it. Several members have created designs like the Turtles Sabers by NeBosa in the Themed Hilts thread that demonstrate this well.

To Adan, your Saber looks more "traditional Jedi" this time and elegant as well. A noble well respected Jedi might weild this Saber.

To Savannah95, when you eventually get your Disciple off your wish list, I can recommend the Black Reptile Wrap for it as I have it on my example. The grip is beautiful to look at, has great feel and grip whichever way you hold it and is really comfortable. Another great design and name, you are on a roll.

To both, keep up the good work,

For Tyeth

Beautiful saber, maybe the Wolverine?
(Though I suppose Darth Tocs might not like that suggestion )

Another thing I forgot to mention: it's kind of funny that you chose the name "Ascension" for this saber only because that was one that I had in my list of saber names! ;)

Thank you very much, For Tyeth. I was looking for something more traditional this time. I appreciate your kind words.

Sorry about the name steal Adan! :P

Thanks for all the compliments and it's nice to see such a steady stream of awesome designs still rolling on in!

I decided to do something a little out of my comfort zone. As I think I admitted once, I don't like thin necks. Something about them irritates me, almost as much as control boxes; however the thin neck/box designs I've seen here I've actually liked, and that has inspired me to answer this question: If I were to own one (and only one) thin neck saber, what would I have?

My answer came by combining some parts from one of my favorite hilts, Fury, with one of the versions of the Prodigal Son emitter.

It is aptly named Prodigal Fury in similar notion to the Venomous Fury since I combined the two styles (though I made an exception with the pommel).

I like that Savannah. I often tend to favor sabers with a cleaner and sleeker look. Yours is very well done. Awesome creation.

I dig that one, Savannah! I definitely wasn't drawn to thin necks until being able to experiment with them in ASP.

Hi Savannah95,

Well done on a verrry sleek Saber. I would bet Brax would like this design as well. The more you experiment with parts you don't necessarily "like" the more you develop ideas. Always keep asking yourself "How would this look?", "Does this go with this?"
You will amaze yourself, as you have amazed us. Thanks for sharing.

I wanted to make a dark side thin neck, but I also didn't want to keep retreading "weathered sabers" territory. So that led to the Inheritor:

When I finished I immediately wanted to make a Besalisk Jedi character in FFG's Force and Destiny, wielding one of these four thin necks in each hand.

I also wanted to do a saber for a ruthless, trophy-hunter-type character, and matching this emitter and pommel gave an interesting "capsule" type look. So I called it "Collector"
