I completely missed your "Optimal" post until now. Life must have gotten in the way for a moment. Would love to see those slicing off Starscream's wings. I know Megatron was the main leader, but Starscream was SOOO much more annoying.

But I've been enjoying all the Transformers themed sabers, Tyeth. And Eddlyss too! I sadly never got to see Silverhawks, OvrcAHst, but I like the designs. Especially the two "Steel" hilts. I never before would have thought me a potential member of the BHC.

The Muses seem to have abandoned me for the moment, but I will be sure to post again once inspiration strikes. Cheers, y'all!

Hi Everyone,

Thanks again to OvrcAHst for his latest batch of Sabers, I particularly like the Robocop pair!

This segways nicely to my next design, which as I mentioned is a bit of a tribute to the Forces of Law Enforcement around the world who keep us safe night and day. This is also part of the 80's adventure cartoon series and is based on the law enforcer in Transformers. You will have guessed by now that this Saber is for...

PROWL(ER):

















The colour scheme speaks for itself but I tried to recreate the look of the lightbar found on the roof of most patrol vehicles.
The design also allows Prowl to use either end of the Saber should the need arise, but it is still nice and compact.

Once again I would like to extend my thanks to the brave men and women of Law Enforcement around the world and this forum
(I am referring to Boyer4). You all give tirelessly also and I thank you all too.

One really can't help but see the lightbar you took as your inspiration there. Very nice. And again, I appreciate the tribute towards these heroes.

Speaking of inspiration, I believe I may have found a little in the darkest depths of Dol Guldur. Stay tuned!

Seeing as the muses deigned to descend upon me once again, I figured I'd better make quick use of them before they flitted away.

Out of the dark armories of Mordor comes a terrifying weapon both of light and shadow. Already fearsome creatures, the Witch King and his cohort could be nigh unstoppable with these in their claws. I bring you the:

If there was a blacklight option I would have gone with that, of course, but I feel like the Indigo does a nice job of it. Ghostly, which is rather fitting. Hope it pleases you!

Nice, creative use of parts Otto. These days however, I've only the patience and mental capacity for lever-bashing to the tunes of Hungry-Hungry Hippo. Admittedly, I tried to guess the represented pieces to their respective counterparts and after looking at the answers, failed miserably. I'm Dumb.

I like that raphos. I see where you're going with Nazgul Darkblade. Very pleased with parts use and LED colour. You've intensified the spark of excitement where I am eager to interact with ASP again to see what beauties are revealed through the puzzle complexities. Not just Chess, I too suck at Puzzles.

I have the next design in my 80's cartoon series, this time going back to Thundercats. This time I created a Saber for another stripy character. He normally wields a whip with bolas style tip but he needs a Saber to keep up with everyone else. So here is my design...

TYGAH:

















That was TYGAH. I tried to get the hilt to have a colour scheme as close to a tiger as I could and used the Reborn emitter in standard so as to get the "Cats Whiskers" spines and the horizontal stripes. Then down the hilt I used weathered parts and the orange body wrap to represent the way the stripes blend.
I am not sure when I'll post my next Saber, I have to go and design some more, but thanks again for your comments and support in this series.

Thank you, OvrcAHst! I feel like everyone's designs only serve to spark the creativity in everyone else. So keep at it! I especially like your Chess Queen. What emitter is that? I've played with the ASP builder a ton but that one doesn't seem familiar. I like the way the blade seems to just appear from nowhere.

Digging those duelable Reborns. How the hell do you all keep coming up with designs without accidently posting the same one a month later?

I really need to remember to write down potential inspirations when they come along, lest I completely forget them in the span of a few minutes' time. This had been one of my first ideas, but it kept slipping away.

Tonight's creation comes out of a fairy tale. Once used to slay a mighty beast, it no longer goes "snicker-snack" but "snap-hiss" instead. Callooh, Callay! Oh frabjous day!

Really resisting the urge to make a "beamish" pun. I was going for a "runic" appearance here, and hope I pulled it off. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they add more engraved-looking pieces to the ASP builder. I know the lightsaber is a piece of technology, but as all of you brilliant designers have shown, they can also be works of art.

I met a mysterious man in my travels - a Ranger of Gondor named Talion. Over our fire I asked after his weapons. Impressive in their craftsmanship.

A handsome blade, Urfael, has been at his side since his days stationed at the Black Gate, defending the borders of Gondor...Talion wraps the scabbard of his sword in a cloth ribbon from his slain wife Ioreth. A tender keepsake for a grim man.

Hello Otto! Oops! Clearly I was scrolling too fast, didn't mean to give credit to ovrcAHst for your chess-pieces. Thanks for the info! It's kind of like the opposite of pommel #6. I may have to look into a build using those two pieces.
