Hello All,
I have received my ASP saber (I was dead near the end of the list of supporters of the kickstarters [in the 1500s]) I chose the name based off a future mod. I am going to remove 3 of the claws and get an order of 3 viper claws, which can be used to catch my foes saber blade and with a simple twist of my wrist lock them up in my claws or with enough force break. (not that I will do it, that's just mean but the idea seems neat to me to be able to shut down a foe like that) Its yellow now but i'll be changing that as well, to blood orange. Here are a few pics of the saber in its current form: If the pics do not work I'll have imgur links as well at the end of the post.

As someone whose ASP saber also uses a yellow LED and weathered Sorcerer emitter, this is making me even more excited for mine!

@Greysider Thank you! @Borommakot Thank you as well! @Jaden Korr I like the yellow but I like blood orange way more haha. I guess it depends on my mood on which I use. Yeah I love the Sorc emitter, its so pretty. @MommyHoldMe Thank you, it honestly took me about 45 mins of parts surfing and comparison on the last day of about 4 days worth of playing around prior to that. |

Just a tip, ive heard from a former owner of a sorcerer the hilts aren't really meant for dueling with the claws on them, it can wreck the screws that hold them on and their fittings.

Oddly enough a friend of mine was playing with the saber builder and had a similar idea for mixing claws - he was thinking a mix of Sorceror and Venom, though, for a slightly different look.
I love how the Epoch switch looks like the emitter - it's a really great fit. Did you get sound, or just a stunt? |

Thanks, yeah I thought it flowed the best for me from Emitter to switch to hilt. None of the pommels really flowed with my idea so I chose the best. Your friend has good tastes.

I could see that, with how they go up the blade a bit. I don't really plan on doing much dueling at least for now so i'm safe.

That is one freaking sweet saber my friend. Amazing!!! I really love the design. It must be VERY comfortable.
Just don't forget to remove ALL the claws before you duel with your saber. I learned the hard way it will break your saber for good! |

superjario18, Congratulations with receipt of your ASP Customised Hilt. You are one the lucky few to be able to accept, preview and Review as the waves of shipping takes momentum. The Sorcerer Emitter is a seldom appreciated feature and in it's own right unique. Great choice with acquisition of this rarity. A perfect example of the Yellows brilliance, but if Blood Orange is your preference, the alternate won't lessen the effectiveness of the fluid configuration. Am curious, with the symmetrical and balanced placement of the claws, does the attachment point on the grooves enable an inverted fixing i.e. opposed placement to resemble spines rather extended claws?

Darth-Revan - Good call on that. Time to find my proper sized hex for removal.
OvrcAHst - Good question, going to find/pickup some hex heads. The biggest hiccup might be the wide splines at the base of the emitter, where it attaches to the switch section. Will keep you updated. |

Great Saber! Cant wait to see it with the alternating claws. I know you said you were looking at changing the color to blood orange but I admit I think the yellow works great with it.

Kinda late to the party on this one, but I like the weathered finish. And the yellow blade looks awesome. I'm not normally much of a fan of the color yellow, but that honestly looks great.
And, funny enough, my 4-year-old son asked me to make him a lightsaber (he's super into Star Wars thanks to Disney Infinity and The Force Awakens) and his favorite color is yellow. He wasn't sure if he wanted a red saber (he likes the bad guys like Kylo Ren and Darth Vader) or a yellow one, but I think when the ASP system is up, I might make him a shorter version of mine in yellow because that looks legitimately cool and I think he'd love how that looks Congratulations, man. That is a great saber. I love how the weathering adds character and the claws have story and aesthetics to them. It's like an anti-vibrosword saber then?

 I love how the yellow looks but to fit my theme I need to switch it out to blood orange (which looks better to me). If you make a shorter version before I order my blood orange then hit me up, i'll trade you quick connects.@Gaelis: Thank you! Yeah the weathering is a must for me, the other ones look too... unused. Once I switch out the 3 claws, it will be exactly like that. Something I can hook other weapons in and crack or break their blades. (in theory at least...) Appreciate all the love for the saber, I thoroughly enjoy it so far, even had a few "duels" with my roommates 4 year old and his little toy saber. Just got my stand in the mail as well so i'll post up pics of it on the stand too. |

So i flipped the hooks. Did not work out well, they don't seat properly. So that wont work. Was a good idea though.
