Howdy everyone I would like to introduce you to Alastar my ASP saber
Here is the saber builder version

Here is the final product

The list
Redeemer Emitter 3 (Weathered)
Fallen Switch (Weathered)
Venom Body (Weathered)
Reliant Pommel (Weathered)
Apprentice Plug (Black)
37" and 32” Blade
Arctic Blue LED
Viridium Sound Board

The saber feels and looks great I was very impressed with the quality of the build. The hilt itself comes in at just under 15” in length which makes for great 1 or 2 handed holding. I went with the grenade style as Old Ben’s Saber in ANH is my personal favorite so that became the staple for the whole saber. I went with a weathered look for the same reason I always enjoyed Old Ben and that Jedi Knight who has been around the galaxy and still fights to protect his code. Alastar which stands defender of men. I always look to protect and defend those close to me so the name was perfect.

There were only a few minor things for me with the saber that made me scratch my head. With the thin neck saber the blade plug I got does not fit into the emitter at all. Not that I was ever really planning on using it but sadly it does take away from me being able to use it. Maybe down the line they will have a separate set for these types of emitters. Speaking of the thin neck. The neck that screws into the grenade is a tad loose. Nothing a little plumbers tape does not fix but was a little interesting to see. I know a lot of people talk about the fake button again putting it into place I will forget about until I need to remove it and do something with it later. The only other thing for me is the weathering. Which I knew wouldn’t look weathered how I want and will look into making the weathering to my liking in the end.

Sadly a few days after getting the saber I charged the battery and went to show a friend and my saber would not turn on. Something happened with the electronics and the speaker was just clicking. I have already been talking with the great team at Saber Forge and I am in the process of getting a new electronic set sent out to me. All and all I am super happy with this product even after the long wait. It was well worth it and I cannot wait to see the future of ASP and what Saber Forge gives us.
I will seek the courage to change the things I can in my life.

Congrats on your ASP Leapra. That's a very nice hilt you've designed and at 15" it's a beast. Very nice.

Double grenade grips? A saber after my own heart!

Glad you like your saber, and hopefully your electronic problems will be get sorted out.

As for the blade plug not fitting, SF's thin neck sabers usually don't come with them for this reason (plus, in the case of the Prodigal Son, it would be inaccurate). However, if you do decide you want to use the plug, forum user Nebosa has posted several blade plug mods specifically for thin necks. In this thread HERE he details how he cut/sanded the polycarbonate to fit.

Thanks everyone and same here so far the support from Saber Forge has been great. I can only imagine how crazy the past 10 months for them have been. Below is one final picture with the blade in when it did work the first day.

I love this. You picked the weathered emitter and switch I'm hoping to get when ASP goes live. How was it securing the LED inside the emitter? Did you have any trouble? Thanks for sharing.

Glad to hear Saberforge has been good to you. I love how they stand behind their warranty.

Congrats on a very unique saber indeed.

Did I mention I love the double-grenade sections?

Leapra, An exquisite creation, creative parts placement & configuration, Credit to you with Alastar. I've tinkered around with ASP Builder and have never thought of using the combination of parts that you have used. It's simple and so effective, weathered beauty with generous length just shy of 15". It's exciting seeing that, consistent to the Builder, the weathering finish applied to the Thin Neck Emitter leaves the Brass polished providing a nice contrast to the darkened weathering (as you've chosen).

Aesthetically pleasing, from the Colour Scheme, the Dual Grenade Grips and the opposing use of a Rounded Emitter and a Squared Pommel. Thank you for sharing the magnificence of your Custom Hilt.

Now THAT is a saber built for battle! Gorgeous, but none of the usual control boxes/greeblies/hand biters that you normally see on a thin-neck. Plus, I bet that long grip gives you some awesome leverage.

Excellent design work, Leapra!

Thank you for the kind words. I have not had a chance to really put a good swing in the saber yet. As soon as the new electronic kit comes in I plan on going and testing it out and hopefully will make a video for it as well.

Hey leapra, could you possibly post a clearer image of just the pommel? I need to see one regarding a complaint I have with mine (I'm pretty sure they sent me a juggernaut pommel instead and it's just too small)

Thanks man.

Ah interesting. Ok so yours is the same as mine. So either you also got the wrong pommel, or they're just sending this one out instead. The reliant is supposed to have little screws in the recessed areas. It's also supposed to have a flat edge over the curved indent rather than the sloping angle this one has.

They're definitely different, even in the updated builder. But there the Reliant pommel shows holes rather than screws.
