Hi folks,

During the memorial day I ordered a Gladius warrior edition, a Consular warrior and an initiate Consular as well (to tip me over the $500 mark for extra rewards). I had the intention of swapping out the eletronics from the Gladius to use on the initiate consular. I've since read that because the apprentice sabers are a solid piece, this could be tricky to do.

Have I made a horrible mistake, or is it possible to upgrade this saber?

Cheers!

Of course it is possible, it's just tricky and harder to work in the apprentice sabers because they're smaller and one single piece than it is in the elite sabers.

Do you have experience doing installs before?

Nope :(

Done a bit of soldering before though. Will that be required even with the quick connects?

Yeah. In order to get the electronics out of the first hilt you'll probably end up disconnecting a few wires from the switch, which will need to be resoldered back on. I'm not overly skilled in that department, just have general knowledge of what happens and goes on, but there are others who do, lol. I would say that you're probably in for at least a little bit of an adventure! :)

I'm not sure but maybe you could send it back to saberforge and they can do the install. the only problem would be that it would cost money. but then you would have three warrior sabers!
