Hi im new here but ive been looking at the sabers on this sight for years, im a huge fan of star wars and from what ive seen saberforge is THE BEST place to go for lightsabers, my personal Favorite saber is the monnarch, i love star wars the forse unleashed, i love the saber, i love it all...my only question would be, is saberforge planning on ever releasing a version of the monarch without the exposed crystal chamber? dont get me wrong IT LOOKS BEAUTIFUL with the exposed chamber, but its also alot mor fragile and alot more expensive, maybe inf the crystal chamber wasnt exposed, it would be mor durrible, and less expensive. thank you saber forge for what your doing and please dont ever stop,k and thanks to anyone who can give me a bit of info on this subject. Phil mentioned once on a post in a facebook group that he is able to do a version of the monarch without the crystal chamber, but that it wouldn't cut down on the price all that much because the rest of the saber is so complicated to build.
If you're interested in purchasing a monarch without the crystal chamber, I suggest sending an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. asking if this is still possible since you heard on the forums that it can be done, and then ask how best to go about placing that special order. Phil or someone from his team should get back to you within a couple of days. They are extremely busy at the moment, having just opened up a physical showroom and launching a BUNCH of new saber hilts in the coming weeks, holidays are coming up too which means busy busy busy for the saberforge team, so be patient and hopefully Phil is able to accommodate your request  good luck! Let us know how it goes! I'd also love to see the monarch without the crystal chamber.

I might be WAY off here, but isn't the Reliant saber sort of / basically the Monarch without the crystal reveal? It's got the leather-wrap, but it's the same emitter/shroud and could serve your goal, CJTEDJ333. You might consider asking that the control box be removed if you really want a dueling saber, as I've heard from others that it can 'get in the way'

It seems to me that the Monarch and the Reliant are two very different sabers:
Monarch: Reliant: As for removing the control boxes, Phil of SaberForge has said that you can put in a request in your order notes to have the control box removed. The mounting holes will still be there as they are pre-drilled into the hilt, but you can always cover them up with a decorative 8-32 hex screw. |

They do look quite different side-by-side. Emitter and all. As I said I thought I was 'off', but I feel like I recall someone referring to them both as TFU-inspired sabers...
Good call Mario. Both are gorgeous and two of my favs. |

IIRC the Reliant is based off of TFU2 while the Monarch is from the first one.

Yup, the Reliant is based on the promo sabers that appeared in the TFU2 trailer. The Monarch is based on the hilt he uses in the first game. |
