Hey guys i am buying my first saber! i have narrowed it down to the venomous fury weathered edition with a green blade. I have the money to buy a saber with sound but i was wondering what your feedback was about having a saber with sound. Please leave your response as to whether or not the extra 200 dollars is really necessary or not. Thanks.

While I have not got a SF saber(yet) I have a couple others and sound is what really makes it a saber. Also you are not just paying $200 for sound. The in hilt recharge alone almost costs that much with other companies. Plus the kill key and smart charger.
I have done some math and SF has the best price on those options. Absolutely get the champion edition if you can afford it. |

Hi. If you are able to afford a sound saber then the Champion level definitely will take your saber to a whole new level. You have instant access to changing the blade pulse flicker, sound intensity, swing intensity and clash intensity. All this without needing a computer hook up.
 Suggest that you purchase the 12w LED as it is super bright. Since it comes with a covertec wheel get a belt clip if needed. Since you have a Jedi colored blade you will be getting Viridium sound unless you choose the Crimson dark font when ordering. The 37" blade is not too long to manage but the 32" may be more comfortable if you are not tall. There will be some length taken in the emitter. Your chosen saber will look really good.

If you got the money, get the Champion. Sound is awesome and it definitely makes it feel like a lightsaber.
I would not order a Warrior unless you're planning on DIYing it. Of course, remember that if you crack open the hilt to upgrade it you'll be voiding your warranty. Bottom line though, sound rules. The only good reasons I could see not having sound is to preserve battery life or so you can walk around a convention with the blade on without making a bunch of noise. |

Actually Miraluka with champion tier you can set the volume to mute. The only noise I believe is when you turn it on and off. A sweet perk for when you want too play, but be quiet at the same time
 I would definitely say go with champion if you can afford it |

Yeah, I know you can mute them, that wasn't my point. Spending extra money on a champion if you're going to regularly mute it doesn't make any sense. Ravioli asked if sound was worth $200 and if you're going to be walking around with your saber muted, I'd say it's not worth paying for sound.
All that being said, I still say sound is awesome and paying extra is worth it, whether you order it with sound or install it yourself. |
