Sabers sold on etsy are ''premade'' sabers, in the sense that they're almost ready! When they have the time, they run extra waves of saber in order to get more! They sell those extra sabers on Etsy! They just need to add the electronics and TADAM, you get a saber!

So, let me add my Etsy question to this...

So, it's currently the 23rd. I ordered from Etsy on the 10th. On the 18th, the order status changed to "Shipped"... and I'm not that far away from them, ideally the shipping would only take 1-2 days (I actually live in a town with a USPS hub where most of the mail coming from Oregon to the East goes to... anyway!) But when I track it, it just states "Tracking Label has been created." And that's... it.

So. Total wait time so far is 13 days... going on 14, 15 at the minimum if it happened to leave SF literally this very moment and start my way. But somehow I feel like it's not actually going to leave SF for a couple more days, which puts me around 17 or so days. Now, on my order, I didn't request anything different about the hilt at all. Just chose it, clicked buy. Oh, and bought an extra blade, cause I want to test one with my Ultrasabers hilt, to see if SF's higher quality blades will.... well... salvage that particular saber for me. (My hopes are kinda low.. anyone wanna buy an Ultrasabers hilt? lol)

In short, I suppose my question is this: Is this wait time completely normal for the Etsy shop?

To compare, I ordered a Viper from the site back in January (towards the end of it.. I think the 30th) and it still just says that the order status is processing. Not that I'm expecting that one any time soon, as the wait time I was quoted for it was 8-10 weeks.

I'm just... really impatient (I know, it's a character fault) and purchased from Etsy because I was under the impression that the 1-2 week time would actually be that.. and not going into a 3rd week.. or more. =/

Also, to clarify, I'm not trying to complain, or say anything "bad" about.. well. Anything. I love SF products so far. I'm planning on buying more. I must learn patience! I just want to know if this is about normal, or if my experience is outside the "norm" range.

When it says shipping, that means they've started to work on it. You should see that change in 5-10 days

You want your saber! I can relate! I am on my 6th week though so I got a ways to go. I have seen in the past that then it goes to shipped, they are making the saber then shipping it! I know they are launching a bunch of sabers right now, so maybe that is slowing down the etsy orders a bit?

Hmm. Guess that means a solid minimum of another 5 days before I get it. Which pushes it to next week, cause of the weekend... :( That's unfortunate. For me. lol. That also means that my wait time is a lot longer than the 2 weeks that have been quoted.

I guess I would totally understand and not mind the extra time it's taken if I had requested quick disconnects, or something different about the hilt, but I didn't. Just the champion JadeFire... oh well. I'm sure I'll love it when it gets here, and it will all be worth it. Thanks guys, for the quick responses on my question!

I too am in the process of trying to find out some info about Etsy and have asked SF (via Etsy 1st and now email) whether I will get an already machined Champion Exhalted, with my LED and blade choice, even though I ordered from the website. I'm wondering why if they have the hilts made and just need to swap my LED out then I could have one in the Etsy turnaround time of 1-2 weeks.

Unfortunately im not having much luck. I ordered on the 6th and have ONLY just got an email reply, and not a particularly helpful or informative one at that (SF living up to the hype in this department I'm afraid).

Seems fairly reasonable to me that if you have hilts made and advertised for 1-2 weeks, I could have one of those, as its the same product, just ordered via a different avenue. Stock is stock isn't it?

It looks like its all hit and miss.

My first order a Gladius on Etsy took 7 days from order to me swinging it around in my hands.

The order I did recently was 7 days ago and I just got the shipment notification which was probably them building it. Though the USPS information is confusing - I received an email on Saturday saying it was shipped but that the shipping label was set up on the 19th.

Last time when it said shipped I know they actually shipped it, this time I am not entirely sure as it appears as though others are experiencing different ship / receive times. Regardless, I am content.

Lol well after over a week of no reply on Etsy, I asked via the sales email. Took over a week to get a reply on there. I'll give the FB page a crack next then.

I have never had any type of problem with contacting SF through email or Facebook.. and I've done both, to clarify things and inquire on how to order specific things. It usually takes them a few hours, or even a day or so, to get back to me via email (currently waiting on an email now, actually), and just a matter of minutes to an hour or so for Facebook. But I haven't tried messaging them on Etsy. My advice is to make sure the subject line is clear, and not something generic. They might overlook it that way. I used to work in email tech support, and I know I always prioritizing answering customer emails that came in clearly labeled over the ones that came in "hm." Or "uhoh!" and the like... because, on a general basis, those emails were generally cluttered and hard to understand what the writer was asking, and took more time, and I could answer 6 others in the time it took me to make sense of theirs. They might be experiencing the same thing with email communication, so, just try to make sure any email you send in is clear and concise, easy to understand, and simple to respond to. :)
