TOPIC: The etsy store

Quick update on my timeframe waiting for my Etsy order... it's now the 25th, and the saber still hasn't left the shop. When I asked them what day they thought it might ship out they said "anywhere from 5-10 days from the day we printed the shipping label."

I really don't want to complain, but... I've over the 2 week time frame, it's going to be at minimum of 3 before I receive the saber, my other two orders I submitted don't even show accepted yet, my website order is still processing, and I've spent over 1k and have nothing to show for any of it. :( Perhaps it's just the drudgery of the weight bearing down on me, but I would really like to get one of my sabers sometime soon. :(

I understand that feeling mate! Right now SF is a little bit behind on respecting their delays, and that won't get any better, considering all what they're doing right now!

I guess my issue with that is that instead of focusing on presenting more and more new concepts as rapidly as possible, they need to slow down and catch up with what they have. They're doing amazing work, and people are already willing to wait for their products. Instead of pushing new material out and increasing the wait time, however, I feel that if they focused on reducing wait times and pushing new products out a little more slowly they'd benefit more in the long run.. but! Just my two cents, and I don't run their company. SO! I get to sit and be sad I don't have a saber yet. :(

I love SF designs on their sabers, jus wish it wouldn't take so long to get them. But I guess you get a better quality product though. Instead of jus mass producing a shit load, hoping they sell.

I ordered my first saber a couple of days ago through etsy as well and so far i'm quite unhappy as well...
A quick rundown:
- ordered a purple acolyte champion
-sent a message right after purchase asking if this comes with viridium sounds
-question wasn't answered in their first reply, repeated the question. Not answered in their second reply either
-repeated the question a thirt time, got the answer that they normally default crimson for purple, but that I could choose
-one hour after I got this I told them I wanted viridium
-3 days later I get the message the order was completed with crimson..

I sent them a lengthy email now hoping for a better response than the ones I get through etsy.

It's not so much the wrong sound fonts (I can very much live with crimson), but that's just bad customer service. Their message even asked me if he should work for free now and strip the electronics...

I mean, the order was placed on saturday and I don't think it will be shipped till the end of next week, so why do I get a message it has been completed and the electronics are fully installed? Once the electronics are in, there really is nothing more to do. Can someone with knowledge please clarify, do I get this wrong?

Any feedback appreciated guys. :dry:

Still very anxious to get my saber, as I'm sure it will be awesome, but this all sounds like they are biting off more than they can chew at the moment...

Lol the customer contact part of SF is just awful. I had read about it before I ordered, and they are living up to it totally so far.

I had a simple question too after ordering. I have had no answer at all via Etsy where I messaged first. On email i'm waiting a few days between replies, and just today still don't have an answer because 'they don't understand the question'. Still.
It's not a difficult question tbh and one ive managed to convey and have understood here on the forum by several people.

I agree that it's pushing my patience a little too when I'm watching the sales campaign for the new pre order sabers being posted left right and center, while 3 weeks since my order, I'm still struggling to get just a question answered, let alone get a saber shipped that appears to be already made.

I would suggest getting someone to be your 'customer liason department' Saberforge, because while your sabers are very cool, your customer relations is very shoddy.

I just ordered my first saber from SF though Etsy!!! :woohoo:
It's a champion Silver Knight, mint green blade color and I wanted it without the covertech because it already has a d-ring on it (which I prefer btw).

Yesterday, before ordering, I sent them a few more-or-less long messages through Faceboog asking a bunch of questins about the Etsy store in general, covertech removal options, hilt finish, shipping etc.. and I received a few quite surprisingly lenghty responses, which answered all of my questions one by one, very professionaly and in detail.

I've communicated with them before a month or two and you can really see the difference. :)
I'm not saying they were rude or anything, just that it was noticable how they were in a rush and didn't have time to answer every single concern we (curious little fans) had.
Now, on the other hand, it seems that they really either hired someone to answer their messages, or managed their schedule to respond in detail.

I must admit I was a bit worried about placing my order and getting exactly what I asked for, since I've read a few negative responses lately about people getting wrong color blades, different hilts and stuff like that... but looking back, it seems it might have been from the Christmas rush they had, so it's very possible that a few orders got mixed up a bit. The important thing is they immediately responded, as far as I've seen, and made it all right.

Now, having my questions answered properly and in detail, I must say that the only concern I'm having is how to make the time fly faster while I wait! :lol:

Well, one more concern, but I guess that most of you don't have it - it's additional shipping and handling costs in my country. I'm from Croatia and here we tend to have ridiculously high taxes for overseas deliveries, so I'll see how that turns out. It's a gamble, more often than not.

Maaaann.. am I the only one who gets insanely jealous of people who get their orders really fast? My saber still hasn't left the shop... into day 7 of the 10. After the 2 week period. :( and I didn't even order anything custom about it, that's what kills me.
