I realized that somehow I wanted some kind of story to exist circling around Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi much prior to TPM, where Kenobi is still a young teenager and Qui-Gon is at his peak. Does anyone know if there is such a story in the Legends timeline? If there is, I'm reading it and making a fan film. If not, I'm cracking my fingers and writing it!

There was a series of young reader novels about this. Quality was ok. Premise is that a decade or so before TPM Obi was a washout from Jedi training and Qui-Gon was recovering from an apprentice falling to the darkside. Qui-Gon takes Obi on as his padawan and the rest is history etc. They're out of print and very expensive to locate in decent condition. Might be on as ebooks.

Wait, I think... I definitley remember those. They had them in the children's section of my local library. Good times, good times. I think I might check some out for old time's sake if they still have them.

I'll have to see if they're still on the bookshelf at my dads house from when I was a kid. I bet TPM comic is right next to them too. For all the hate the prequels and TPM gets in particular, holy crap did it set off my imagination as a kid.
