TOPIC: V1 Hero Monarch (TFU1 Starkiller) SF|Story...

There ain’t much that hasn’t been said or written about the Monarch.
So…. A picture-heavy Gallery Post it will be.

I got my first as a Custom here and not being able to stop at 1, here’s a share of another .

The finish that’s seen a lot for this Saber is the V2 (weathered version). For those that have wondered and didn’t know (other than from pieces from ASP), in its stock form and finish as it comes from factory,
this is how it is.

*Haven’t messed around with the colour presets (regardless of having this since Dec16). Deep Red most will recognise its awesomeness. Red Orange is deep, bright and vibrant and the combined colour results in what I can describe as a Deep Amber.
**Swapped out the default Font Banks with Lord Blako’s Starkiller I & Starkiller II Package so the entire in-game experience is now in-hilt.

Weight: 568 grams
Hilt length: 340mm
Blade socket depth: 52mm
Upper OD (including faux box): 32.97mm
Lower OD (including spines): 45.07mm

Some will argue that it’s a good looking hilt at the cost of comfort during grip and handling.
I disagree with this observation and find it comfortable when gripping low with forward grip or high (over the faux box), also forward grip. It is equally as comfortable reverse grip with your palm over the mid section between the bodies switches and the upper shroud. To each their own I guess.

True to form, I made it more personal since I am its primary audience.
The DIY customisations I applied to it are essentially the same to what I did on Custom Monarch: milled bunny ear clamp opening on blade holder, Graflex Button blade retention, Glass Eye LED retention and a flurry of cosmetic changes integrating some weathered red, copper/brass and weathering to the emitter shroud.

Crimson Starkiller

This version came default supplied with a cloudy crystal. Regardless of the actual crystals looking undernourished for a chamber, compared to my other version (uses a clear crystal), I favour the former ie the clear crystal as when it becomes lit it results in a more aesthetically effective marbling effect. The cloudy version floods the crystal entirely much the same like diffusion applications on blades. A minor detail really.
