It will also be my first saber, and I am also pretty excited.

It isn't that I don't like ASP --- I love that; I can waste an afternoon just using the virtual saber builder --- but I felt like even choosing my blade color I was unable to really pin something down. So I wanted to see what a random saber would end up being.

I also really like little LED/sound boards --- I like to build fighting game controllers --- so I feel pretty at home with the stuff on this site.

But I am hoping maybe I can convince more people in my area to get into this too.

But, if I find someone to order our sabers together, we should make the necessary cart value to get a free mistery saber on my first order anyways. So, I'll be equally excited then as you are now.

I haven't heard anything yet and I ordered around the same time as you. I assume that even with a Mystery Box, there is still work to be done. Eg: Blade color. When ive seen people compare the lightsabers that the two companies have in common. i.e. thin neck sabers or graflex that seems to be the case. Side note - I did forgo to add a charger. Since this is my first saber should I have ordered one?

For 18650s I have a bunch of friends that vape and those are very common batteries for them. I'd check a vape shop if you're having trouble finding that particular charger at a regular store.

So... Status update.
I ordered mine Dec 18 and I ran out of patience for waiting, and radio silence, and emailed customer service to ask about my order.
I was told my saber was done with construction and would be entering the quality control phase which takes 5-15 business days. Kinda annoyed that I wasn't told about this extra waiting time, and that quality control is not included in the lead time, but I'm glad to have news.
Saber will be here in 3 weeks or less!
