OMG!! I just got my shipped-email on my Champion PS!!!
I'm finally in the build cue :-D
For reference I ordered the 26th of January so by my calculations, it's exactly 12 weeks, give or take a few hours. I'm so happy but I guess from now on, The wait gets even harder with lots more updating of tracking numbers and such.

Week 16 (IndieGoGo ASP). The wait hasn't been that bad honestly, though that's probably because I've been distracting myself with other projects.

And in the meantime, I've been able to research some, let's say "warranty voiding modifications" I plan to do to the hilt when it arrives.
Own: 2005 MR ESB Vader, Korbanth Graflex 2.0 (self-install)

I am not gonna lie; I am very skeptical about ordering the Archon for a con that I am going to attend in late Aug...

I am close to getting the money but I worry that I may not even get to use it for the con until next year.

With the current lead time you'd be cutting it very close to be sure.

Yeah I wanted to be responsible with my money but now I am wondering if it's even worth spending it on the Archon right now when I am not going to get a chance to use it for why I am ordering it aside from keeping it in my room.

So I placed an order on March 3rd and before I did the wait time was 5-8 weeks but now April 19th saying its 10-12 weeks I only placed mines because the wait wasn't too long but now it is... Does it mean I will be getting it in 5-8 weeks and I'm just qued in line...?

It's impossible to try to divine how the sliding scale of SF wait times will affect an order already in the queue. The wait times balloon and shrink every few months. I go into every SF order expecting a three month wait time. If It arrives earlier it's a pleasant surprise.

Based on this thread, we are currently in the mid- January main site orders. As in, they are starting to build orders made around the 11th - 23rd January.

This is JUST a guess. I don't know how the build queue works either.

When the website FAQ was made, wait times WERE 8 weeks. Then a little arthouse movie happened (you may have heard of it?) Episode 7 and suddenly everyone wanted a super-cool saber from the best manufacturer.

I ordered mine, then got told the wait was growing, THEN got invited to do a lightsaber demo. Eventually I spent another chunk of money (a lot less than I have at Saberforge) and got a saber from some other guys. It arrived quickly and is satisfactory, it looks ok, everyone who has seen it has liked it. However, compared to my saberforge order, it's pants and will be proven so when my order turns up.

I'd rather wait for something great, than be merely ok with something fast any day.

SF is expecting an upgrade on their facility but why they still have a delay on production. Just curious .

I get daily email notifications regarding changes to the order tracking IndieGoGo ASP Pre-Order spreadsheet that I created. And it appears that someone has updated their order status to delivered!

Pledge Number: 1147
Name: Patrick Bushbaum
Amount: $275.00
Assumed Perk Type: ASP Custom Sabers with LED Blade (x1)

Can’t verify this myself, but I’m hoping it is correct. It means the rest of us should be getting them soon!

Something that would be nice, and honestly not to hard to implement, would be a wait queue. You enter your order number and it tells you how many orders are still ahead of yours. Would solve a lot of head aches and worried people that would be able to see that number getting smaller and smaller.

Well, ignore my previous post about me being patient. I've now gone from this:

It would be nice but it definitely scare people off if they really see that number

$wait=`select count(*) from orders where status like 'Ordered' and OrderID < $orderid;`

print "$wait";

obviously it would need to be configured based on DB names and orders, as well as language for web interface.

We're all assuming their software is capable of and compatible with that script.

They use paper gift certificates vs. an online code. I'm going to go ahead and assume "no."

That said...business software is ridiculously expensive, in the 5 figures easily. Plus the time and effort needed to implement and the countless issues that would arrise from the upgrade.

Rather the money and effort go into production and we sit and wait :p Won't make it any faster knowing the queue.

I love how you just say "business software". Also, many many Fortune 500 companies use open source software for their production needs. Saber forge could do everything with a LAMP server (linux, apache, mysql, php) that they do now, could manage their billing and tracking, even this forum and not have to pay one cent, and be completely running legally.
