So it's been pointed out and can be seen on the website that the new Chosen has a quick connect option!? Did SF figure out a way to make thin necks with QC?? That would be a great option!! I guess we'll find out more soon but that would be a game changer! When I eventually do my ASP, I was probably going to have a Redeemer emitter so having the option of changing 12W+ LED colors would be phenomenal. But if I'm getting ahead of myself and this is a mistake on the SF website, it may be a slight letdown.

That might be an error. Since apprentices are a single machine piece the only way to get at the LED would be from the emitter or from the body. Seeing as the Chosen's emitter can't be removed it'd say it's likely an error.

There was a little slimmer of hope until I remembered what you said about the single machine piece. Even if this isn't true right now, is it possible to develop a way to have quick connects on their thin-neck sabers? I've only been active on this forum the last 3 weeks so there may be talk of them trying to figure it out but I haven't read it yet. I understand why they can't at this point with their current sabers but maybe we'll see some innovations in the future with everything becoming a little smaller.

The trick is that the location of the LED is also the weakest part of the hilt in thin-neck models. When dueling the greatest amount of stress, in regard to the thin-necks, is where the emitter attaches to the body. If there's threading at that location the likelihood of breakage over time increases. To change out the LED in a thin-neck you have to take out ALL the guts in order to get access to the it.

Actually from this review:
It's pointed out that the emitter is held by a screw like the other non-thin neck hilts (in the other thin neck hilts it's "glued" in place, the main reason why quick-connects weren't available for those models from what I've read).
You can also see it in the store pictures once you know to look for it. So it would make it reasonable to think that it's not a mistake and it's indeed an option available for the Chosen.

I also just ordered a Chosen Green 12W+ 26" blade w/ quick connects for my son... I will chime back in if I hear from them regarding the quick connects.

I think it's a typo. The chosen is an entire piece plus a pommel. I would imagine it would pretty hard to put one in there somewhere.
Light and darkness, you cannot have one without the other. To achieve equilibriem you must be in harmony with both; the path between.

I believe we have an answer...just noticed that the warrior and champion level no longer let you select quick connects. The drop down box is still there but the only option is "none".

Dang it!

Yep, the option was listed accidentally by the webmaster when the listings were made. This was corrected today. Any orders that purchased them, we will refund the quick connects, no worries.
