Not sure if this has been posted yet but it makes me very happy to hear. New shop opened and now they can focus on clearing their backlog and improving and fine tuning their new shop processes.
Direct quote from the etsy page: "Saberforge is taking a short break. We are putting our Etsy shop into vacation mode and taking a break from accepting new orders so we can focus on building and shipping our current orders as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience and support and may the Forge be with you!" |

There has been some speculation that the Etsy only designs that made the cut would be included on the main site when it is updated. It would seem like the next move in the process, but at present it remains speculation only.

There was a poll that the SF FB did... 4 months ago(?) which gauged interest in which sabers would make the jump. If I remember correctly the Phoenix and Archon topped the poll.

I'd made a rage comment on a different thread (many 'No' memes), but I won't redo it here. Just dissapointed that I'll have to wait until like summer to get a Bane, UNLESS it's added to the mainsite. Really desperate for a curved hilt, but I hate the look of US' Mantis, so I guess I'll wait.

GRRRR, and I was about to order an Archon!
 Can someone please confirm if we will be able to order Etsy exclusive sabers like the Archon, Phoenix, Dissident, juggernaut on the main site? I remember that the Archon and Phoenix won the poll awhile ago. Also, if you ordered a saber BEFORE the shut down will it still get to you on time or will it be on hold until it comes back. I'm just glad I got myself a Phoenix and a silver knight before this happened.On another note, I'm so stoked to hear that things are picking. Well, I knew this was going to happen because I read the message from Brax awhile back. I didn't think it would be this early though. |

I'm sure it just means they aren't taking any further orders. If you just ordered something from them they will obviously get to your saber and get it to you during the break.
I would bet on the Archon and Phoenix making the cut based on that poll. Also for the guy up above wanting a Bane or some kind of cool curved saber, I wouldn't worry much. The Bane could likely make the cut as well but if not, there is supposedly a curved saber in the pipeline that is the coolest and/or most unique design thats ever been done. I'm paraphrasing those expressions but it was talked about the other day. Theres a thread around here about it. One of the guys here was talking to one of the SF designers. I think it was Thomas Snyder? I could have that name totally wrong. Anyway he commented that he just worked on a curved design the other week that was basically the best thing ever. So we will see whatever it is in the coming months hopefully. |

A new curved design that he was obviously pretty proud of. However, in light of the Etsy store being on hiatus, I can't help but wonder if it might be a MainSite offering right off the bat? Again, all speculation on the timing and manner of its release until someone official confirms it. |

Just got an etsy coupon from saberforge in my email... weird not only because of the timing with going on etsy vacation, but also because I haven't ordered anything from SF on there in well over a month. I wonder if that means my exhalted hit the build queue.
