Evening...excited to have received my new Acolyte and Consular over the last couple of days...very nice workmanship and very bright...ran into some issues with power though.

Out of the box, both sabers worked fine, no problems at all...very bright...I placed both batteries in the chargers to do a full charge as recommended...one took 28 hours and the other only 10.

When I put the batteries back in each saber, now the light flashes once and shuts off on both of them. Looks like a battery issue, but on both? Has anyone ran into anything like this before...my sons are burning to play with their new sabers but we're in holding mode.

Can you check the wiring? Maybe you pulled something loose by accident when remove or replacing the batteries?

I'm currently waiting for my order to be filled but I have a friend with an Acolyte who said it took a day and a half for his battery to recharge, it's a warrior tier with no kill key and sat in a corner for several weeks between duels. But there were no issues after he installed the charged battery.

I would guess a wire came loose or something. When I got my Acolyte Warrior Tier, the positive and negative wires were stripped of their coding, so i wrapped them with electrical tape.

Yes I would definitely double check your wires. Also I just got a warrior saber last week and I don't like the charger it came with. The batter took 22 hours to charge!! I don't know the voltage or the current it's charging at or how much of the battery is charged.

I bought the Nitecore D2 charger on amazon for $19

I love this charger as you charge many types of batteries and also the current with a live status of the battery. If I were you I'd pick one up, you won't regret it.

Check loose wires, but also check the contacts on the battery holder itself. If they're not connecting both ends of the batteries properly, you can probably gently ease them out a bit to make the fit more snug.

Silly question: do you have a battery tester too?
For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future.
