With May the 4th only a couple of days away is anyone else thinking/hoping that Saber Forge are doing something to celebrate? Brax's cryptic "Some cool news coming!" Post springs to mind

Brax has sunglasses on... There's definitley something coming.
-It won't be ASP, but Saberforge probably wants it to. The orders aren't yet finished shipping.
-We've not yet had enough time for the Etsy shop closing to make a dent in wait times, so it probably won't be reopening.
-They are not going to start putting Spark 2 soundboards in Champion sabers. Absolutely nothing ever suggested that they were going to.
-It could be the Sovereign, but the Sovereign could have just been renamed the Vanquish. I personally doubt that they're one and the same.
-A completely new website is unlikely, because they have been updating the one we have with new sabers.
-So probably a new saber. However, anything's possible. Could be that accessory giveaway that SF was planning on having, but they just finished the last giveaway.

I would love to, but this "non-employee running the SF Forum" arrangement is still kind of new, and things like that have not been worked out quite yet. We will get to that, but probably not in time for the 4th.

Seriously though, maybe the forum might get new software so it can do more and run more efficiently. Though the big news could still be anything, Phil and Brax have kept the future clouded (Isn't that the way of the Dark Side?)

Now then. SF Graflex? Wonderful and plausible! You might be on to something there. New forum stuff? That'd be nice too, though really all I want is more links (yay embedded images) and normal sized smileys. :) But other stuff might be cool too. Hmm...

Sounds like fun. Theories I'm going to run with:
  1. The Official Release of Vanquish (time-plausible when Phil dropped the hint)
  2. Rather than measure by Calendar year, measuring the first day of the Year as May 4th that all new Hilts will feature an exclusive chassis to house internals and upgrades to existing available also.
  3. The actual release of Sabercore 3.0.
  4. The release of Infinity V5, rather than a two piece blade (shaft and tip), will be entirely one piece.
  5. An ASP Progress Bar indicating units made versus units remaining.
  6. An ASP Launch Date to countdown towards.

As RyanRising speculated, perhaps SaberForge Etsy Quick-Ship shall mark its return. :blink:

Seriously! WTF even is Kunena Forum? Go with phpBB like 85% of the internet has (it's popular for a reason! Also, I could help with that, I'm moderately familiar with phpBB)--heck, even MyBB (I could definitely help with that one, I've run a few of those!) or Vbulletin would be better than the drek we're stuck with right now.

My problem with vbulletin is that you have to pay for it, but it doesn't offer enough (read: any, IMHO) advantages over free (and open source!) solutions like phpBB to justify that cost.

While I await the payoff from Brax's epic tease, I'll be diving head first into a marathon "Force Unleashed" gaming sesh.

I know, I know.....I'm a bit behind on the game front, but I'm not the gamer I used to be. But I certainly will enjoy my caffeine and junk food fueled adventure tomorrow!
