A few days ago i went to turn on my lightsaber (a hero level disciple with RGBA LEDs) only to find nothing but a rapidly blinking red light around the top button on the saber when i went to turn it on, i tried charging it for a couple hours thinking the battery might have low charge but still have the same problem. Up until a,few days ago it has been working fine, i haven't been doing any heavy dueling with anyone so it hasn't taken any impacts that could have knocked something loose.

Has anyone got any ideas as to what might be causing my saber to not turn on and how it can be fixed?
I hope its nothing too serious that would require me to send it back for repairs because i would imagine postage prices to the US from Australia would be kind of expensive.

The symptoms you describe are consistent to a Thread discussed not long ago that you can read up on here. It may just be a dislodged SD Card that needs to be corrected. After unscrewing your Pommel and carefully ejecting your SD Card, carefully insert it back in and you'll hear a 'click'.
If this works, Great; if it doesn't, an Email to Customer Service (if you haven't already) will assist further with your troubleshoot.
