TOPIC: They arrived.....and I'm sorry but

Saber-forge Community,

I am writing this to let everyone know of my adventures in Saber-forge. When I first ordered, I was reluctant. I was nervous. Most of all my wife said "no." Many times over, she was not on board with me purchasing sabers for my boys birthday or my self. I have twins and they are turning 15 May 28th, a 15 year old step son turning 16, on June 23rd, and my birthday June 14th. So you can see there are many birthdays, very close to each other.

I decided to go against my wife's great advice and purchase 4 sabers. All are 6w+ LEDs.
2 Acolytes. Blood orange, green
1 Arbiter, Cyan
1 Disciple, Yellow

After 16 weeks of waiting, the products arrived.

Customer service was always top notice. I sent emails and I was given respect and quick replies. I've got to hand it to them, they did a great job, and don't get credit where credit is due. To the staff and moderators of the forums. Great job and hope you get credit for all of the crap you deal with.

Now as far as the products go. All 4 sabers are amazing! the craftsmanship, the detail, the quality....everything is fantastic. I am a proud man, and don't like admitting when I am wrong, but DAMN was I wrong. The sabers are better than I had expected them to be. I will be ordering more.

(on a side note, my wife hated the idea of me ordering sabers, she made fun of me and was absolutely against ordering them. Within 5 minutes of the sabers arriving, she was on the site and looking at the one she wants to get. As well as my older son who is 19, he was sitting next to her. Both of them are eating their words.)

Each saber is perfectly crafted. I have to say the colors are brilliant for only 6w+. Almost so bright, I can't even look at them. When the batteries are fully charged, the colors are blinding. After about an hour the color dims a noticeably. Don't get me wrong, the colors are still very bright, just not as bright as when the batteries are fully charged.

As far as the colors, Blood-orange, Green and Cyan are equally bright, Maybe the Blood-orange is the brightest of the 3. yellow is no where near as bright as the other colors. If you are thinking of yellow and have other colors in mind, not sure I would get another yellow.

That being said, yellow is still bright, just not as bright as the other colors. Not trying to take anything away from the yellow at all, just wanted to mention that.

Customer service - A+
Forums - A
Quality - A+
Brightness (6w+) A+ (I would be scared of the 12w+)

Overall, I see why the wait is worth it and as many times as I was frustrated with the wait, and as many times as I said I probably wouldn't order again.

I find myself looking at my next order from Saber-forge.

I am glad that everything met and surpassed your expectations. I know the wait was not easy. But now, like so many of us who have been through it, and experienced what was on the other side of that wait...you understand.

Congratulations, Serisscweald! I am glad to hear your long wait truly worth it! It's always a wonderful feeling when our family share the same joy and happiness with the arrival of our sabers...

To me, this post is another testament that 'some things are worth waiting for', and SaberForge is one of those things

as to the 6w being bright, you should see the 12W! I used mine as a warning signal late on halloween for when the kids were crossing the street in their dark costumes. People saw it about 4 blocks away!

I love posts like this. Congrats! What a great feeling for expectations to be exceeded.

I had a similar experience with my wife where she was "Meh" about me all of a sudden ordering sabers. Now she wants something in a pink LED with a red leather wrap (ha). In the case of Saberforge, seeing is definitely believing.

Something else to note (and I KNOW is sounds like I'm gushing). I was on another forum this weekend (for Transformers...I won't say which one) and in multiple threads it seemed like people were just at each other's throats over an opinion about a figure. So many of the threads were off topic. My point is not to knock them. My point is then you come here and it is such a positive experience! It really is like a family. Even when folks disagree, most everyone is mature and supportive.

As BZArcher said, "Welcome to the family" It's a good one to be a part of!

Not to hijack the subject of this thread, but that is one of the main reasons I came here, and stayed. I felt at home from the start, and that has not changed.

Now, back to your regularly scheduled program...where awesome sabers are received, and enjoyed!

HotRod and Brax, you have really summed up why this place is so great. Even when people don't see eye to eye it's still a good place to discuss things. Its so easy to fit in here.

Seri, I remember when you were talking about getting them for the family. Great to hear they turned out.

Im just waiting for a cheque in the next couple weeks then Ill be ordering a red bladed champion tier Vanquish (still not sure of the finish) and a purple bladed Princess for my Princess.

I like that Bastion as well. I've got a 2 ordered and I'm looking forward to doing an install. Awesome hilt. Can't wait. Please share yours and your thoughts when you get it. Your perspective has proven to be very unique and I look forward to hearing your opinions.
