Hello,
I've just had my LED unit changed after a problem with a kink in the QC cable causing a short, and I've found that it looks virtually impossible to get the LED back into the chassis without forcing it and quite possibly breaking it outright.

From what I can see, I suspect the on/off switch is dropped in after the cables are in and pulled through, as when it is already in place it basically blocks the QC cable unit from going in far enough and thus the LED unit doesn't even clear the blade retention screw hole (I'd be willing to bet this isn't an issue with the non-QC method).

I have tried a long pipe cleaner to try and hook some of the cable but its so tight and hard to see that pulling any cables down from the battery end once the LED unit is sliding in seems extremely risky, and I'm more likely to snag the power switch cables and rip something out instead which would be impossible to fix without sending it back from the UK to US.

I've spent the best part of 2 hours on this and I give up. Unless someone has any bright ideas I'm disconnecting the LED and sticking the plug in and it can be an expensive paperweight.

Is this a warrior or champion?

I have a warrior Disciple w/QCs and I slid the battery out which freed up enough space in the hilt to guide the wires back in. It was nerve-wracking but it worked out.

It's a warrior, and I've been trying it with the battery out the entire time and it makes no difference unfortunately :(

The Acolyte has this section below the emitter area that is much thinner and immediately below that is the activation switch assembly and so the QC cables section and other wires are bunching up around the bottleneck area stopping the LED unit from sliding all the way down. As it was a pushed/forced in LED that appeared to cause the initial LED cable break that stopped it working when I first got it I'm very reluctant to even attempt any force in that area.

It's easy to see what is needed; find some way of hooking and pulling the wires down into and around the thin neck area but doing it blind and hoping you can unhook it when it is in the right place.

I was hoping that someone has perfected the technique on Initiate bodies!
