It's here! :woohoo:
I'm holding it in my hands! :woohoo:
After having paid another small (VAT)-fortune at the Customs Office it's now on my table, peacefully charging.
And it's soooo beautiful!
There's no my way my husband's not going to freak :)

The only thing I don't feel completely certain about is the small indentation the screw leaves when I install the blade - I hope that spot doesn't become weak at some point of time due to the many indentations that several blade-installings and removings leave.

Don't sweat it, it's cool; it won't compromise the structural integrity.

How much did you pay for customs? As an European I'm nervous for the price tag if it's being hold by customs..

Since they've put it into commodity code 9503 0099 90 0 customs duty is 0%. But I had to pay 19% import VAT which added up a nice amount of 76 € to my purchase

Wow that would be about €95 for mine. Can't saberforge use the price for an empty hilt for customs? lol

You wish!

That could create all sorts of problems, for them and for the European buyers. Not getting into too much details, but hiding or omit the ACTUAL price of an item sold and shipped from outside to inside the EU is punishable by a pretty hefty fine, and based on the type of item introduced into EU space, it can even lead to prison (medical drugs, some plants, animals, sensitive stuff like that, ...). Not to mention shipping insurances, etc etc etc ...

Last thing we want is the EU ordering the customs to check every single SF package that comes in :p

Else, I'd agree with you yeah. If it was possible to label the saber at 10$ value, we'd be saving a lot of money :D

I think the EU does not accept anymore the "Gift" label that used to work before.
1. You are looking at my signature.
2. Now you think "Of course I am, you bloody idiot!".
4. You did not realise I skipped bullet point 3.

Yeah, usually they don't. Most of the "1 $ Gift" parcels are sorted out and end up at the Customs Office especially when the sender is a company.

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but on the terms of shipping can anyone give me some advice for a guy in Australia? Seems like I've chosen the wrong time to fall in love with these sabers.
Australian exchange rate is horrible and shipping is upwards of $70 aud alone!
