Like I mentioned in Sadira Orphesu's thread, the ASP blade plugs have been my all-time favorite designs. Save for a few rare exceptions, they look more like an actual part of a lightsaber than any plugs I've come across. I've only had one issue with them.

Except for plug #4, they all sit on the very lip of the emitter, while I wanted them to be recessed at least a little ways into the hilt. That's all they need, imo, to really complete the look. So today I took the plug I got with my first hilt, and went at it with grinder dremel attachment, taking off the lip. Here's the result:

And in the hilt

I dunno why, that just makes all the difference to me. I trimmed down the length of the plug, too, so it would sit in the same spot it did before on top of the LED. I may yet trim it down some more, but that was honestly the most arduous part. The tube cutter I got just was not cooperative.

Hope y'all like it. I've probably spent too much time doing little exterior adjustments, and not enough time trying to actually make the electronics work...but I'll get on it, I swear.

I agree the ASP are the nicest plugs you can buy for the price. I found others I like but they cost a lot more. I really like the plug set down into the emitter just a little really nice job.

You bring up a interesting point. The ASP plugs do look the best IMHO, but they are only available on shopsaberparts.com whereas the lazerforge.com plugs seem to be less popular. I guess I had it in my head that the lazerforge site was marketed to feature some of their high-end accessories. Maybe they will end up combining these since the lazerforge plugs are available on the shopsaberpart.com site.

Back to topic...that mod looks great, Borommakot! I might even dare say, superior to what you started with.

Great mod, looks awesome. The small personalizations are the best parts of getting a saber!

Thanks, all :) If I can find an efficient way of filing them down, I may do this with future plugs as well. This one basically wore out the grinder head I used; I'm not sure if that's because it was designed to be replaced often, or just not meant for metal at all XD
