Like I mentioned in Sadira Orphesu's thread, the ASP blade plugs have been my all-time favorite designs. Save for a few rare exceptions, they look more like an actual part of a lightsaber than any plugs I've come across. I've only had one issue with them.
Except for plug #4, they all sit on the very lip of the emitter, while I wanted them to be recessed at least a little ways into the hilt. That's all they need, imo, to really
complete the look. So today I took the plug I got with my first hilt, and went at it with grinder dremel attachment, taking off the lip. Here's the result:
And in the hilt
I dunno why, that just makes all the difference to me. I trimmed down the length of the plug, too, so it would sit in the same spot it did before on top of the LED. I may yet trim it down some more, but that was honestly the most arduous part. The tube cutter I got just was not cooperative.
Hope y'all like it. I've probably spent too much time doing little exterior adjustments, and not enough time trying to actually make the electronics work...but I'll get on it, I swear.
