Hello!
I'm looking to purchase my first saber, and I'm wondering if I should go with the 6W, or the 12W? I want to get the Apprentice - Disciple, I'm trying not to spend too much money, which is why I'm not getting mine with sound just yet. Is there a major difference between the two watt options? Is it worth it to spend the money on the 12W, or is the 6W just fine?

Any help is very much appreciated! :)

From the oh-so-helpful FAQ:
Q - Is the 12W (or 12W+) upgrade worth the price?

A - Short answer: Yes! Absolutely it is. Long answer: Depending upon which tier of saber you select, it can also have an impact on the battery used for the saber. If you're getting a warrior tier saber, the 6W is powered by AAA batteries. You will end up spending more than the $30 12W upgrade price in no time at all in batteries with this set up. The 12W warrior comes with the 18650 rechargeable, tho only the Bane currently offers an in-hilt recharge port for the warrior tier. The increased power draw does not impact battery life in a hugely negative fashion; the 12W LEDs are just more powerful, and capable of doing more. For example: hero tier sabers only offer a 12W LED.

Dude! I have a 12w saber, and I am already making plans to upgrade it to a 12w+! Besides being brighter, the new ones are a bit more power efficient. Talk about your win/win situation!
Imagine what you will know tomorrow....
