After lots of thought, and lots of mock ups, I'm thinking of maybe getting two sabers. One aluminum 'light' theme, and a 'dark' themed one with more black tones ...

'Light' Disciple:
- Brown Leather
- Led 12W+ . Deep blue
- Blade 32''
- Sound Viridium
- Blade Plug two tone black + silver
- two-tone cover tech
- longer grip (e.g. Reliant), as previously discussed, and the short (old-style?) pommel - not sure if either are possible.

The web site says the standard Disciple is 10.8". An extra 1.5" to 2" in the grip would be perfect.


'Dark' based on the Dissident:
- Pommel - Same as Disciple short old-style?
a. With outer shroud blacked, inner part silver - similar to dissident emitter
b. Maybe Justin can articulate the joint between the body and the pommel - the place where the silver meets the black needs a lip and maybe a black ring or two or something?

ASP says that would be 13.2".

Friends,

It has been a week now since my original email to SF. I'm sure they are busy crafting some awesome blades, but not hearing a peep back in a week is a bit discouraging. Even if it was to say, "hello, got your message, need some more time to evaluate your questions."

Anybody have other emails or aphone number I could try?

Is it possible that an answer from SF might have ended up in your spam folder? Because, usually, Knytiri is pretty up to date on the emails received ...
He'll swing by the forum later on today, he'll surely see your message and might give you an answer

Actually, very astute. I found a reply from Justin in a *different* junk folder than my normal one. Huzzah!

So, as several of you have indicated, the disciple can't be lengthened. Sad face. However, he can do the localized blackening.

There are quite a bit more options available as far customizing the Dissident, but a commensurately higher cost, depending on the ask.

I will report back as things develop...
