TOPIC: Etsy shipping process

I'm sure there are other topics that answer my question, but I'd like to get it directly answered to me just to be sure. I just got a notification on etsy that says my order is now in the "shipped" stage. Below is a screenshot of the info. I'd like to know what steps need to take place next, and how long did it take for your sabers to ship after you got this notification?

As Etsy says on the note that should appear under your order, the "shipped" notification simply signifies that SaberForge has printed a label for your saber. It has not been built yet. It is or soon will be assembled before being shipped out with multiple other orders. This process usually takes 5-10 business days (Mon-Fri). However, due to recent delays, it will take 15-20 business days.

All of this information is readily available on Etsy and the FAQ.

That notification means your order has been added to the next batch of sabers to be built. Not sure how many orders make up a batch though. In my experience it took a little over a month for my order to physically ship out to me, but that may be due to the requests I made on my order. Hope this gives you some perspective.

Sorry for filling up the forum with repetitive questions, this is my first order and I'm not familiar with the terms yet. I've heard of the process taking longer than what saberforge says, so I wanted to get a first hand response. Thank you for the clarification!

My order was pretty simple, I ordered two warrior teir apprentice sabers. The only thing I requested were different sized blades. Thanks for your input!

Dav Yeager and I have been chatting for a while and he and Greysider are good folks to talk to. They have helped me out a lot. I just got my Shipped notification on the 26th for a Champion tier Disciple off ETSY, I'm in the UK but can let you know of my progress if you'd like.

And if your order is half as good as Dav's Saber turned out you'll be more than happy!

I sure hope so The second saber is for my 11 year old sister. She doesn't know how lucky she is to get an extremely high quality saber that young. I had to play with the $10 hasbro lightsabers haha

Yes, any details would be appreciated! I got a 12w consular in green, and my sister got a 12w disciple in arctic blue. I was considering the Arbiter but I decided to wait until Daniel Lane from Saberforge does a run of the crystal chamber arbiters. I think I have watched every single saberforge review on YouTube, and from what I can tell, the odds are I'll be ecstatic. Thank you!

Hi again, nice choices on your sabers, I did consider Arctic Blue for my Disciple but I'm a Green Guy in the end.

Yes you have a lucky sister, my first lightsaber cost me approximately $3.20 way back in (take a breath,) 1983. I posted a story about it on another thread (Instead of complaints, how about some stories?).

I just think, I have bought a saber and paid for it and it will arrive when it arrives (within reason of course, but I don't set high expectations on logistical issues, as they are always subject to change!) So keep watching and posting in the forum, watch the Youtube vids, read the stories and in time you will be rewarded!

I wouldn't be worried about the wait if I made the purchase for no particular reason, but these are Christmas gifts from my parents and they'd be disappointed if they didn't arrive by the 25th. I know a lot of people are waiting for their sabers, and it's not that I'm impatient, but my parents probably wouldn't have let me purchase them if they knew about the long wait.

Its my fault though, I made the purchase on the website at first and was notified that my order wouldn't get here until early February. I then asked saberforge to cancel my order and transfer to etsy, but the guy handling my order took forever to refund the bank account, so it took about 2-3 weeks until I had the money to reorder. I guess I just don't have any luck.

My order has updated since I started this topic, USPS tracking now says it has departed from a USPS facility and will arrive on December 1st, but saberforges note on etsy says it's currently being built by saber forge and hasn't left their shop. Do you know which one is more accurate?

Sometimes the etsy page doesn't update at all, it's not just saber forge, I have other things I have purchased on etsy from other companies that I physically have already that still say in transit on the etsy page.

If USPS shows tracking and the package has moved from one place to another that means they physically have the package.

ETSY's shipping tracking system kinda blows, it's not SF's fault, it's etsy.

I'm hitting week 15 tomorrow.
Granted, there was the issue of my order getting lost or misplaced during the build which they've apologised for and are rebuilding. Which I'm fine with. Like you say, it'll get here when it gets here.
I was told it'd be rebuilt immediately and shipped by the end of the week. That was 2 weeks ago now and I'm still waiting for notification, so maybe it' just been entered into the queue again which is a little disheartening.

I took your advice and went to USPS website and signed up for email alerts for my saber! I had posted elsewhere my notification was sent on the 25th but USPS said the label was created on the 23rd! So thanks again for the heads up!

I ordered my first saber on etsy too. Consular champion edition with an amber blade. I got my shipping email on November 14th..but others on this thread got theirs later and already showing usps as in transit. Mine still says label created. Should I be worried?

No just be patient it will get there

I'm not sure why yours hasn't shipped yet. It might take longer to build a champion saber than a warrior saber. Mine was a warrior. Did you request any other customizations? I also read somewhere that it takes awhile longer if you got weathering on your saber, but I'm not sure if that's accurate info.
